The Cane/Dumas story that promised so much  (none of it to my liking) has petered out and now it's all about LA Noir.

I feel sorry for Billy Flynn stuck with this character/story.

Cane created this ridiculous alias for no apparent reason, threatening to somehow take over GC companies then backtracked and was indirectly responsible for two deaths due to his delusions of grandeur.

How does this man still have the Head Writer job?

The Cane story doesn't even play well on paper. It was poorly thought out from the jump, and the execution is embarrassing. I have to wonder what these actors think of the writing these days....I mean, these years.

I don't know the entire history of Matt Clark and I'm not sure why JG decided to rewrite history and have the character resurrected from the dead. However, I am enjoying the escapades happening in Los Angeles.

Sharon Case has been overacting this entire storyline though. I like her a lot but less would be very much appreciated with some of her acting choices.

I still despise Phyllis!!!

JG should have left the Damian storyline alone rather than try to retrofit it to bring in Cane.

You know what? I can't. Let me get on with my BTG binging cuz this Matt Clark stuff from Scene 1 is already a NO.

Sorry about your man with the extended love scenes @slick jones;)

I can't either.  There is just so much about that storyline that doesn't work for me.

Yeah. Perhaps some of it too is the fact I've had to deal with Howorth through 3 different characters over on GH so judging off that first scene...NOPE. At least with Tamara Braun, I see tracings of her other characters that I like (Carly's ferociousness on GH, Ava's edge on DAYS), but I feel like Sienna is her own different person.

Him though...same and one note. Sorry, I've sat through that for years on GH. Someone even posted a clip saying he was finally lit up in the scene. I saw a little of that scene and went 'WHERE?' Same and yes one note.

I am just hanging out for the upcoming wedding and TV Guide reported it isn't until end of the month so I guess I will go back on break.

Nathan Owens is way too hot to be wasted on Bug Eyes.

Putting Roger Howarth into another role as a convicted rapist. Yep. Just couldn't resist, could they?  I guess just creating a new character that's dark without  sexual predator tendencies for a talented actor is more than Carlivati or Griffith to handle?  Don't get me wrong, replacing Scott Holroyd with Howarth and changing the character was bad because the writing was bad.  I won't deny loathing him in the role of Franko (Especially since my Elizabeth would  NEVER EVER marry 1. a serial killer or 2. the man that kidnapped her baby) and Austin Gatlin Holt was never thought out. There was no real effort to make that character work, especially after killing off Jimmy Lee instead of bringing the character back to at least form a connection with the Quartermaines.  Making him Matt Clark only brought one thing to the table for me. He will get punched. A lot.    I will never deny that Howarth has talent, but aside from early in his OLTL time (and a few times later) and his time on OLTL 2.0, the writing was lazy and predictable, and his go-to hamminess lost a lot of the respect I had for Howarth. With this character being a recuuring character that's already hated, I don't see my opinion changing, but we'll see...

As for Tamara and Lucas Adams...

I can't see Noah with Sienna unless he's submissive   (Just Sayin')

For the love of Gawd please drop the Daniel/Tessa story. Cait Fairbanks hasn't gotten any better in all these years, and Graz should have a more competent scene partner.

But he does look good in black boxer briefs. But yeah, I hate that whole storyline. Moreso that I DID take a break...for a while...and I tune in...and it is STILL going on with barely no movement. WTFrak.

You said it so much better than I have. I will give RH OLTL 2.0 which I loved, but since then...ugh. And don't get me started on Austin...who they should have gone to with the lost lost Q member before they tried RH as Franco And with Jimmy Holt. He might still be on the canvas if they had.  And + 1 on the one good thing about Matt Clark back is that he will get PUNCHED

The backlash is backlashing as much as those Noah/Sienna scenes.

Why was it necessary to make RH Matt Clark? Another BFTD story and landing him with a villain/rapist character?

Why not just make him a new character with an agenda against Noah? So far, everything could play the same w/o having to accept that Matt somehow is alive.

The Mariah/Tessa 'story' has been going for months and nothing is happening.

Damian had so much potential and Josh just pissed it all away for nothing. Same for Chance, same for Cole. I will admit, Peck didn't look like he was glad to be back.Damian was the first Lily love interest with legs in years (I didn't mind her with Daniel. )

Billy Flynn could have been brought in as Theo Vanderway.  He has a relatively clean slate and a built in family with ties to the Chronicle. Damien would still be  on the canvas and he wouldn't have the Cane  sized Albatross around his neck.

I think Roger for the most part came to work in his time at GH. I think he has been truly committed and at peace onscreen and off ever since he came back to ABC in 2011, and his interviews since then about how he'd grown since the 90s/early aughts, his increased public profile and the comments from co-workers (Erika Slezak, Kassie DePaiva, etc.) have all reflected that. It's just that while he's talented he is also sometimes limited, and more importantly that his GH characters outside Todd were largely awful and the stories worse. This situation is not much better.

Exactly!!! Then again given JG's history with newbies that have potential...

I noticed and just smh.
