Dear members,

In November, the SON Community will undergo a design revamp with the release of Invision Community 5, marking the first significant update to the forum software since the release of Invision Community 4, which was installed over a decade ago.

As a result, particular features/services, including SendGrid, our automatic email service provider, will be permanently removed. 

New Experiences:

• Modern interface
• Built-in dark mode
• New layout modes
• New post editor
• Topic summaries
• Community experts
• Tags & content discovery

To accomplish this, there will be an expected short period of downtime for the SON Community. This will enable us to make the necessary updates and changes, allowing the community to continue thriving after more than 24 years since its original launch as an ezBoard on October 8, 2001.

How do we embed IG posts now with the change?

Ok, I found one tiny little thing to complain about 😛 and maybe it's my older eyes these days, but the little circle/star next to each topic in a forum is so tiny now. It reminds me of clicking on those tiny little X's on your iPad to get out of ads on your games (haha). I can totally live with it because everything else is so amazing, but curious if there is a personal setting I can change to increase the size of those buttons/text generally?

I agree, that is small and hard to see for me at least

This upgrade is better than the Abbott Mansion refresh.

Tweets aren't embedding at all either

I noticed in some threads you can't post a reply.

The submitted reply button is not highlighted blue; instead, it's gray.

What do you mean? This embedded correctly by just pasting the link/url.

If you don’t type anything the reply button is gray. When you actually have something to say it turns blue.

More specifically, the reply button is inactive (grey), but becomes active (blue) when you have something to write/say in response to a post.

So far haven't had issue with anything. When trying out (before posting) with different links.... everything embeds automatically when you post it. It even gives you the option to keep it as a link or proceed with the embed.
