Apologies if this was posted, not every link is displaying for me. Kate Mansi talks directing GH

I'm glad someone (anyone) is pushing for more heat and sexuality onscreen in GH's current tame climate. Mansi would know, as DAYS has been considerably rawer and more heated in recent years than GH including during her time there with James Scott.

The bits about the supportive cast like Genie and KV are sweet.

Thanks. I didn't watch those scenes so I don't know if they were very passionate or not but as you said it's nice to see someone who wants to push the envelope a little.

Nice to hear of how supportive Laura Wright was to her.

This was a great read, thanks for posting! I love that she got all that support. I wonder why Laura Wright, specifically, got her so anxious. Is she known for being difficult or intimidating to most? Or was it just more of an admiration for all the years she's been working thing... I'd be intimidated by Maurice for sure.

Loved reading how supportive Genie and Laura Wright were for Mansi’s episode. It interesting that she looked at old school soap scenes to get a feel for something she thinks might be missing. It reminded me a little bit of some of the stuff Shelley Curtis has said fairly recently about finding the story to spend a little more time on per episode, some fire and passion being important to the shows.
