What about my girl, Eva? She's Ted's third child and Leslie's one and only.

The jury will always be out for me as to whether or not Eva is Ted's child. Let's just say that there was no implication, nor was it shown, that Ted had "dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's regarding this matter. I didn't understand him just accepting this parental allegation by word of an unhinged mistress.

Not that I see much appealing about Ted 2.0. He is a good enough actor (probably better than MJ) but the writing and acting choices have made the character less compelling.

The Agnes-esque unlikely connection with June is what finally piqued my interest in Robinson's Ted. Hopefully it continues.

I do think they may have pivoted on Ted/Nicole post-recast once realizing there was just nothing there with him and Daphnee. From what little has been said by MVJ, etc. it sounds like whatever went down with the recast might've been a somewhat serious BTS situation.

Yeah, I would rather Ted and Nicole continue on their separate parts (whether he's straight man to June or SPS since the writers seem bound and determined to have Ted that way while Nicole gets to move on). It will definitely be a different story than Dani's and keep both sisters interesting. And if some time down the road the writers want to go there with Ted and Nicole getting together again, at least that will be in their back pocket.

I have always loved Nicole and I do think she is letting her pride ruin her marriage. Yes, Ted is an idiot, however, he treated Nicole like a Queen for decades. I think they should have separated for a bit but not divorce yet.

IA. She rushed this. This divorce happened way too fast. She literally just introduced it around Chelsea's kidnapping last month and last I recall was Ted saying he was gonna fight her in court as a tactic to delay things and now its finalized. HUH? Did I miss him signing the papers and giving up on fighting? Theres a whole beat to this story that feels skipped

I agree, especially when Nicole can see what Leslie is like. It would be good storytelling to see a couple try and work through something rather than head straight to the divorce court.

But having both sisters divorce in the first year is too much.

Agree with all of this. It’s actually wild because when MJ was in the role, Ted and Nicole truly seemed so so in love that I genuinely couldn’t imagine her saying, screw the 20+ years of wedded bliss post affair. As we’ve discussed the writing definitely shifted with the recast but even still I remember just how head over heels for each other they were. I just can’t imagine her being so steadfast in her anger to never even consider giving it a shot.

I blame it on the recast (though understandable about why) and the writing just not giving us enough (if at all) Nicole's POV.

It’s hard for me to really understand why it’s so serious when his former coworkers seem to be friendly with him and also wanted him on their podcast? So little details so I’m not going to cast any stones at all.

Opinions about this, that, and the other are everywhere. Someone stated on FB that a lot of things feel deliberate in some of the writing. Saying that the show is intentionally emasculating the men, the black men in particular. I don't know, but you can't ignore how they keep the character of Ted moving. Even Bill is looking like more of a victim now. He threw away his marriage and family unit to be sucked in by some PYT who just wants to kill him for his money. And then there's old man Vernon. Please don't tell me that they're writing this old man, who should know better, as carrying on with some other woman, young or old. Smh.

Same.  In any case, all I have is what is written. For me, NuTed has always been weaker in motivation to fight for his marriage so no wonder Nicole decided (after small hints of regret which could have and should have been explored more in the writing) to make the decision to move on. Meanwhile, the writers keep trying to play Ted as straight man to SPS's kookiness which, like my feelings on Dani/Bill, appear to be more endgame than Ted/Nicole. And...I'm fine with that without needing to rehash OGTed vs NuTed. But the writing has to move forward...which it appears to be doing.

On the one hand, i can view Nicole's decision partly based on how she watched her sister Dani continually accept being cheated on and ultimately dumped by her husband for a younger woman.   So when Ted's infidelity came out, she was more upset with being lied to than anything else... but then when he slept with her again, she said 'Yeah... I'm not going to be my sister and be a doormat'.

However, all that is thrown out the window with the way she was advising her daughter Kat... whose boyfriend cheated on her with her half-sister.

I do think Nicole is an interesting character that seems to hold herself up to a higher standard of conduct/behavior.. yet encourages her daughter to give the boyfriend that cheated on her a second chance.

Zach Slater! :P  Happy to see TK again after so long! And ironically it's Cady McClain to talk to him first! LOL
