It's 2025, not 1985 🤣

Still, modern CBS Daytime has never been moving like that lol. Let alone any of the current soaps, until now.

It's sorta a shame that Dapnee Duplaix is wasted on a "relationship" with some recurring character who's barely even given a storyline crumb.

If you check the spoiler threads, you'll note that is not likely to be the case for long.

I do think they need to lock Alex Cheeks down.

I think BTG has been really strong the past few weeks and highly entertaining. I am really proud of this show and how it is continually evolving and coming into it's own.

I'm late to the convo, but off topic. Prom Night has the best slasher chase scene ever. Oh yeah and horror movie soundtrack.  Carry on.

Alex A was painful in the scenes at the CC with Kat and Eva. His robotic delivery undermines a triangle that is already suspect in motivations.

Why would these two be interested in a cardboard cut out?

The extras on this show are unlike any in daytime. LOL “I’ll have what those two were having.” If it’s not the storylines that entertain you then it'll be the little lines they give the extras on the show and some of their facial expressions. I hope the show never loses this aspect 😆

KATHERINE! You disappointing pick me azz bish! We were all rooting for you! OMG I am so pissed off at the writing right now

Kat said last week she didn't want Eva to win so that is still part of her logic. She is playing herself. Plus. I think Tomas likes that she is a Dupree and what that can do for him more than he "loves" her.

Instead of constantly chastising Dani, Nicole needs to use some of her energy to read Tomas.

@TaoboiCharles Pratt Jr wrote a horror movie before writing soaps.  What's even odder was that not only did he write a horror movie, but also wrote an episode of Full House.  Talk about random writing gigs LOL

Horror can pay the bills and get a name out there. Just look at the lovely Barbara Campton.

I would say the same. I do worry that a bit of the momentum has been lost this week, but it has still been a great week.

Same. It's to this show what regular recurring supporting characters is to old school Y&R.

I agree. It's always been there in the writing and how Kat acts. And it's why I liked the ChelseaKat scene the only day where Chels called her out on that. I also love that's an opinion that Chels continues to express in words and RR subtly seems to show in body language.

Same for Tomas. That at least dates back to the beginning of the show. And the only reason I feel he's sticking with Kat. The writers have been too busy making him and Eva the star-crossed lovers for me to think otherwise.

Why do they do all these interogations in the middle of the police station? Elon has an office that we never see. They cant repurpose it for that?

  • Drake hopped out of his seat as if he saw a ghost; he clearly knows Marcel and his connection to Joey. I would be running like a white ghost if I were him.
  • Donnell and Vanessa are driving themselves crazy over Douglas' last moments (or what they believe them to be). My heart breaks for them as Joey looks on without a single care for what they are obviously going through.
  • Bradley does not want the deadbeat to turn himself in, but maybe that is what he should be doing. The right thing after all.
  • Not Dani and Nicole mocking Dani's liking of alcohol and the impulsive decisions that come with that. Hilarious.
  • Poor Vanessa... she is driving herself absolutely mad, between the guilt over her final phone conversation with Douglas and the grief she is experiencing over losing her high school sweetheart and father of her children. The poor woman.
  • Nicole needs to be honest with herself: yes, she is feeling some feelings for Carlton, but deep down she is still desiring a relationship with Ted, her husband.
  • I can appreciate Bradley wanting to fight for his marriage, even though I do believe he deserves better. But if deadbeat wants to turn himself in, then let him do it. He is adamant about it. Free yourself of that misery.
  • Well, there goes Joey, swooping right in to whisk Vanessa away ahead of Drake's arrival. You are not slick, Joey.
  • Drake is trying to set up his exit alibi, but Joey is about to leave him out to hang high and dry.
  • Donnell is on Drake's neck and he is not loosening the pressure.
  • Not Donnell and Jacob walking in on Joey and Vanessa... I can guarantee this is going to be messy, messy, messy, and I cannot wait for it!

Notes:

  • Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) and Alex Cheeks (Donnell) win it again for me. Both individually and collectively. They are putting the work in.
  • Karla Mosley (Dani) brings a smile to my face when she is able to truly be playful with the scripts.

Smitty is really starting to get on my nerves. What exactly does he want Martin to do? I wish Martin would say to hell with it and just turn himself in anyway. Besides, that whole sordid affair with Kenny is going to come out sooner or later anyway and what they are going to do then? Secrets always come out on soaps. I can't wait to see what the Duprees are going to do when they are in the middle of a massive public murder trial.
