I totally agree with you. I just had a thought, do you think he's the "hot" guy coming to BTG??? 😳😳😳

I hope not.

Today wasn't as good as yesterday, but there were still a lot of things that I enjoyed.

I found Stephanie and Alex pretty interesting today. They actually argued a little lol. And now that Stephanie confessed everything to Alex about Steve, and that he promised not to tell Xander anything about it, this is a pretty good opportunity for conflict for them. Which I really, really hope Days takes this time. Please don't give me that Lucy with the football crap again

Charlie Brown Football GIF 😂😂

But yeah... I don't know why they're deciding to revive anything between Johnny and Holly.

I never thought that Ron, and the strike writers too, did a good job with Holly getting over her feelings for Johnny, and falling for Tate so quickly, so I can see her having some unresolved feeling for him, but it still doesn't seem like the right move at this point in time. There are better ways to cause problems for Tate/Holly. And to use Johnny and Chanel too.

Speaking of Johnny and Chanel, they were sweet today. And I'm not against them possibly trying to adopt Tesoro, but I still think Johnny being at odds with EJ, or even somehow being weaved into the hospital drama would be a better story for them.

And, I am interested in hearing Javi's backstory as well. He's becoming more than just Leo's boy and I'm happy to see that. Al did a pretty good job today too.

The way this baby is being passed around like a tacky centerpiece at a wedding reception, it's almost performance art at this point.

Salem, the town where half the population turns out to be long-lost siblings adopted by rival families, somehow has no available couples to adopt a healthy baby boy? I suppose I shouldn’t be shocked. This is the same family court system that once greenlit Stefano’s adoption of Peter and Kristen, so maybe a functioning adoption waitlist was never in the cards. But we’ve officially hit the moment where it feels like nobody else lives in this city. Those sweeping shots of apartment buildings, hospitals, and bustling police stations? Apparently just Rachel’s fever dream. Because I can’t think of a single town in America where abandoned infants are placed slower than the speed of this plot.

And while we’re here, Johnny and Chanel are rich, in love, and not exactly short on free time. Are we really pretending they wouldn’t at least consider a gestational carrier? Or is reproductive logic just another casualty of Salem’s ever-flexible reality?

Chad's got the easiest job in town.  He runs a newspaper that only follows the events of a dozen people.  If there's no trial, nor an abandoned baby, they don't put out an issue that day.

Please no. Those threads about a predominantly Black soap don't need to be inundated with 12 posts a day about how there's not enough of the white guy.

I know some people think the show is boring and I get that because some shows do drag.  I think the new regime is helping the characters have more nuance and giving us genuine emotions.  It's not, well, Marlena gets kidnapped again and John has to save her and plot stunts.  Characters are describing their feelings and motivations which is a welcome, grounded change.

It's far from perfect, but I see improvement.

Good to hear that given how very far behind I am. :)

I would also say, it is fun, but there is no need to watch every episode if you're behind.  There's enough repetition that skipping a few Tuesdays here and there won't make you feel lost.

That is also good to hear. Thank you. :) The one thing that has made me lost so far has been so many new faces or recast since I last regularly viewed that I was jarred.

There have been some boring episodes.

And some Ron-like stupid stuff 🤮

But overall, things have improved a lot. It feels like Days again.

Also, I chuckled that Brady clearly has favorites.

He drags Rachel to the middle of town to tell her that her mother is going to prison for six years, then drops her at school.

Then, he meets with Tate (clearly his preferred kid, who could blame him?), and suddenly Brady is more distracted by Sophia's healthy baby, than his own daughter running away from elementary school.

And how do Alex's shirts stay buttoned?  They seem so tight and uncomfortable.  I assume they stretch.  But, he's going to pop a button one day, and poor Stephanie's going to get it in the eye.

Thank you!  Chandler can continue making his sporadic, smirky, rare appearances on Days.

A lot of the material might drag if you are that far behind, but as a day to day soap I think you are getting a lot more character development and interesting scenes about character perspectives and lasting, real emotions like Julie, Maggie, and Marlena's continued discussions about grief, Xander's talking about his anger issues, and Brady talking about trying to live up to John's legacy.  It feels much less gimmicky than it has in years.
