I'm just glad the Q mansion isn't totally lathered in gray paint anymore like a few years ago, that they still use the original study/drawing room from time to time (though it would still be the primarily-used meeting space if it was up to me) and that the Quartermaines and their home are once again very prominent on the show as a hub for story and characters. The fact that the foyer barely resembles the original beyond still having a big staircase I can live with.

I can live with it, too, for sure, but when I think about it, I find it distracting.

It's like on the Mary Tyler Moore Show. Rhoda's turret is supposedly "upstairs" from  Mary's apartment, but the outside shots of the building reveal that there IS no upstairs. Mary lives on the top floor, and Rhoda's apartment is directly to the right.

The interior set of the Bunker house on All in the Family does not match the outside shots at all, either.

Don't even get me started on the issues with that stupid Jupiter 2 on Lost in Space, ROTF!

They've been pretty committed to memorialising basically anyone whose died both onscreen and off (other than Alan which was a mess because he'd been dead for so long onscreen)

And before the Covid mandate there were talks they were going to do something for Stuart, but then Steve was smarter than the experts so they had to negotiate what to do, and he had to go. And I think that pretty much derailed anything they would do for Alan.

A lot of what made Spencer and Trina popular was the little things they chose to do, NAC played flirty and almost a reverence for both Trinas. I know that leap into his arms was not scripted, they came up with it. But they also dragged them out and didn’t play it. Yes, racism played a part. But I think it’s also the stupid shooting schedule. They had Spencer in jail for months!

If you think the mansion is bad, don't look into the current status of the Brownstone from the '80s and '90s. Elizabeth allegedly lives in it but as we've been over in these threads many a time, there is almost no resemblance lol. I guess I'm glad it exists.

still can't get over the remodeled Q mansion, with the front door now to the right of the staircase. Would a change like that even be likely if the house were real?

It only takes me out because it seems clear they did it to make the set easier to light and film in. But at least GH looks pretty decent considering the budget limitations.

Wise actors indeed.

Ugh. That schedule.

Gio and Emma are becoming considerably popular IMO. But they haven't been played nearly as much as the Britt saga or Agent Joss of late, which is the problem. Same with Dante and Lulu. But I make this speech twice a week at this point so I'll stop.

The shows are happy to repeat themselves - we may as well do the same.

I would say that...in spite of the TPTB...Trina/Spencer were the last romance. Special thanks to the strike writers who really went there with them, too.

Otherwise...though not well done for the reasons I posted earlier about CVE and how he writes romance...Chase/BLQ. They started off good IMHO. Until they didn't due to everything and the kitchen sink being thrown at them to make them work when they came together pretty organically from what I remember of it. I was not regularly viewing during the temp recast. So well-received if not well done?

I do think they had, or have, some decent chemistry - I wish they didn't often so seem like he's just her purse-holder these days.

Hehe. True.

Well, I feel like he's slowly coming out of that due to Dark Willow. That said...I did like him being her ride-or-die during the Gio reveal and him maintaining that even if it put him in conflict with Dante. On a typical note, they kept JS well dressed through that period.

After leaving GH, he is credited as appearing in one episode each of the TV series Ballers (in 2015) and NCIS: Los Angeles (in 2016). In addition, he was in two short films: West in 2014 and Mr. Tolliver in 2017. Since ten, as far as I could find, nada.

Oh thanks for that.   It's a real shame.  Because I thought Logan had some legs to be long term, but I do in fact get him confused with Cooper Barrett (not related to Brenda or Julia 😑)

Ada's living room set on AW had various reconfigurations over the years, like with a window appearing and later disappearing from a wall which had never had a window before. And the Horton house's atrium and the position of the front door keep moving around. It's distracting, but like you, I am glad certain sets continue to exist (in theory, anyway).

That's true. Budget restrictions and considerations are painfully obvious on soaps these days.

There are some actors I tend to get confused, too.

Like these pairs of performers:

I've hit the Monica episodes and while I am feeling them (well everything Jason and Tracy, people slowly finding out), it is really making me see red how they are not letting the scenes breathe and how the majority of other stories running through the episodes are extremely unnecessary.

And I now want to kill the pairing of Molly/Cody with fire...and as we know...I was not being that pairing AT ALL.

Should have been Julia's son.  NO ONE in town even question the last name including Sonny.  An FU to fans.

Duhon and Gehardt look similar to me, but Gehardt was a very hot silver fox replacement for Greg Vaughan not too long ago.  I would not hate him as an Eric recast if GV isn't available.

I have some GH questions.

After Shell Kepler (Amy Vining) died, did the show do anything to acknowledge either the actress' death or the character's absence in a timely fashion, or was Amy's dying just mentioned in passing years later, like Jessie Brewer's?

Whatever became of Mike Phelan Webber, whom Rick took in during the 1980s? Did Laura consider Mike her brother after Rick and Lesley adopted him? (I don't know; I couldn't bear watching the show during that decade.)

How many people have Jason and Sonny murdered?

Exactly. And weren't they teasing that out or Coop being somehow connected?
