The funny thing is is this not unrealistic. I’m also in the wrestling community and there have been multiple lunatic fans arrested for this same type of behavior. One guy was actually planning to kidnap one of the female wrestlers.

And the funny thing is...cuz my brother is a BIG wrestling fan due to how we were raised...I'm not shocked to hear that at all.

-- I'm fine with the level of Allison's craziness, but Chelsea is over-the-top to me. One minute she's stumbling and near catatonic, and the next minute she's screaming. Honey, you were kidnapped for a day. (Okay, a day+).

-- Telling Allison that she's in her (Chelsea's) thoughts every minute and every second of the day is pretty dumb.

-- Brianna Roberts has been very good as Allison. RhonniRose Mantilla? Not as much.

-- I hope to God they don't write Tomas as so stupid that he represents Leslie in any lawsuit. Talk about career suicide.

-- Eva is losing me. Yeah, I know all about the trauma bonding blah blah blah. She can love her mother and not enable her.

-- Leslie is going to offer double for the house across the street from the Duprees. We know she got one check for $1M. How is that enough to buy a mansion, furnish it, pay the bills, etc.? Would her bank account be sufficient for that kind of loan? I doubt it.

-- Dani had me howling when she ranted about what a psychopath Allison is. Didn't we all see her waving a loaded gun at Bill's wedding and then firing it?

-- I despise the way the Duprees are treating Ted. When he did nothing, he was wrong and was continually called out for doing nothing. Now he's done something huge and Nicole ends up treating him like dung on the bottom of her shoe.

Of course, Anita and Dani join in to ice Ted out. These are the same people who now treat Ted like a loving family member and resident puppy dog. Make it make sense.

Dani would take Ted back in a New York minute and these saintly Duprees would throw them a Reunited And It Feels So Good party.

The Duprees really don't love anyone that isn't a Dupree unless they serve a purpose in their lives.  Bill is on probation because of the Chelsea situation and because he has helped them with the Leslie situation.  Eventually Bill will be tossed aside when they no longer have a use for him.

If the writers recognized that the Duprees have money/power.. but are no better then other wealthy families (i.e. Kennedys, Trumps, etc) then I would applaud them for showcasing that power corrupts no matter the gender, race, age, etc.   However, I think the showrunners/writers truly think The Duprees are this perfect family that we all should strive to be like.

Given their handling of them in the Martin fallout, I don't think so. Several characters (Smitty, Jacob. Nicole) called them out.

I think the show wants it both ways: Yes, they're the things some people say they are, but they are also wonderful things too, etc etc. But really this cognitive dissonance and mixed messaging is pretty standard for any central core family on any soap opera. Particularly the Bell or Bell-adjacent soaps. It's how these shows and these kind of power families work. Soaps get to have their cake and eat it too.

THIS.

She's soooo bad she's good. Something we both have seen on DAYS a time or two.

I thought the same thing. Why are we giving the psycho hope? I mean really?

Same. On BR. I thought RRM played the PTSD of it rather well. I resolve the right to check my mind once I do a rewatch.

Same. Actress stay giving, but after yesterday it looks like she's going to get into her scheming vixen bag. Not hating it, but at the same time she's acting as delulu as her mother. And that makes me Team Kat by default.

So far...Eva is wisely using Tomas for her own benefit... and she knows he has a thing for her so she's using that to her advantage.  By default, that makes her less delulu then her mother... but for all we know, her mother might have been less delulu back in the day (we did witness how Ted played her in regards to the house, so whose to say he didn't do that to her back in the day during a rough time with Nicole).

Which is typical scheming vixen behavior.

The best vixens are not at all stupid.

But to further my point...all I have to point to...is the repeats last week. Lest not forget that the anniversary party WAS Eva's idea. Even when the SilkPress storyline started, Eva had a bit of schemer to her...all her flirting with Tomas to spite Kat. And her vibe today and yesterday is her showing her claws. Which I'm fine with because her and Kat can be evenly matched ie: not perfect. So much more interesting than slanted/propped writing.

What I don't want is Eva-as-victim in these fights as if we didn't just see six months of her being just about anything but most of the time (most, not all). Kat was right to side-eye and continues to be right to do so. Eva was at least trying to do better though, but it seems like this week that is about to fall to the wayside so as long as she owns that rather than go 'woe-is-me' like her Mama on Monday...I am good. But she better not act like she did nothing. That is simply not the case.

    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
