Now another McBride is going to get a target put on them by Joey.

My guess is that Naomi is going to have an abortion and Jacob is going to be upset about it. This will be the marital trouble they face that was mentioned in the article about Jacob's brother showing up.

I had that very same thought. Also, is this the same week Izaiah shows up? Because that's what it sounds like.

LOL obviously it’s been 20 years and I recall this on either the WOST boards and/or the long defunct Snark Weighs In blog (what the heck ever happened to that guy??). Basically you were like “Boy it’s takes a lot nerve when you know your own [!@#$%^&*] show you’re on smells to high heaven to pass judgement like that” or something that. Sparks had made the comments in an interview with the infamous Daniel Coleridge.

B&B: March 2026 Discussion Thread

-- Baffling. That's the lack of ANY follow-through or payoff to multiple really good setups. Every promising storyline has been botched.
-- The Will/Electra scenes were PAINFUL to watch. They were both so terrible.
-- "Daphne gets airtime" means the actress gets scenes and does nothing. Worthless.
-- The musical cues for that final Taylor/Deacon scene were hilarious! Talk about over done. This show acts like these two are Romeo & Juliet.
-- Maybe tomorrow we'll get to hear Sheila say "Mama needs some D from Daddy!"

-- The episode did have a strong flow.
-- I don't understand the decision to have Kat and Chelsea get all kumbaya so quickly.
-- The execution of the blood plasma story is still awful. The meeting place for Jacob and Smitty is ridiculous, and they have conversations that require NO meeting at all. It coulda been an email.
-- Are Jacob and Smitty the only people trying to take down the blood plasma ring? There's NO ONE else involved? HUH? Is Jacob reporting to anyone? Is Smitty?
-- This blood plasma ring isn't very big if Grayson turns over only a small bag to Jacob.

ALL: The First Year of a Soap - Growing Pains, Teething Issues, etc...

If we can include Primetime soaps.
Knots Landing's first season had some hit and miss episodes.
Dynasty's first season was rocky focusing on the 2 families before being revamped the second with the arrival of Alexis.
Dallas first 5 episodes focused on the Romeo/Juliet story of Bobby & Pam before J.R. became the breakout character. Sue Ellen also became a major player with her alcoholism and tumultuous marriage. Bitchy sex pot Lucy failed and the writers didn't know what to do with her and she floundered in stupid storylines separate from the main cast/plots.

The Golden Girls 40 years later

The disastrously unpopular UK remake of the show (Brighton Belles) premiered today in 1993.
This somehow led me to learn that in 2012 there was a Dutch version of the show.

One thing I can say...Zimmerman is especially good at episodes that flow and they usually have given her the episodes that tie multiple story threads together. So if something has not made sense, it's usually one of her episodes that clear it up. And when they put her on back-to-back episodes...simpatico. I do believe it was her that was in charge of May's anniversary party if I'm not mistaken.
