I liked today's episode, but I felt like the show was cramming a few weeks' worth of plot developments into a single day. It sure seemed like they were closing the door on Cody/Ava, but I hope they eventually circle back to it, since Maura West and Josh Kelly have chemistry in spades.

While I have no doubts NLG can be difficult to work with if she dislikes you, I doubt she has anything to do with TB's/TJ's dismissal.

The show rarely had use for Taj's TJ or TJ in general in the first place.  I think GH decided to give he and Molly a story, break them up so Molly could be paired with some new (aka white), and had TJ fade away.  I believe in this case the most obvious answer is the truth.  The blame is most likely on FV and the writers, not NLG.

Fully agree. I think this charge against NLG is pathetic.

Just seems nuts to me when Ava and Cody are so good together. WTH is going on?

The story doesn’t involve Sonny, Carly, Jason, or Drew, so it gets crammed into the edge of the frame.

I don't believe it. I saw it on one of the GH Facebook groups.  I posted just the front page.

I posted once that NLG was my one of my favorites and I practically got jumped because they were blaming her for IR and SB.

I hope they did not get rid of TB for that reason you stated.

I really hope they give Cody and Ava a chance.

Today’s episode is a testament to the fact that GH’s biggest asset is its deep bench of veteran actresses.

I find this Maxie storyline annoying because it’s another case of GH bending story to accommodate an actor’s offscreen needs but Kristina Wagner has grounded every moment in authenticity.

Maura West never misses, even when the writing for her character is nonsense. She delivered some great comedic asides today.

But the MVP of the episode was Nancy Lee Grahn. I love how she played the confrontation with Drew—white-knuckling it so as not to lose her temper, yet occasionally letting the rage slip out. Brilliant stuff.

Yes! She definitely is the MVP. And it was the perfect set up for Alexis to be the prime suspect if something should happen to Drew.

Count me in as someone who doesn't Ric to get killed off. That whole scene kinda seemed like a retread of what happened between Ava and Nikolas, so this'll have a similar outcome.

As for Maxie, I understand why they needed to write her quickly, but I still why they couldn't have given her a HEA will Spinelli and the kids. It's not like Bradford Anderson is full time.

If GH had any nerve, they'd kill Maxie off. The character is just another Greek chorus at this point and it's annoying that the show bends to whatever whims KS has. But KW has been great in the material she's been given as a devastated mother. BA/Spinelli doesn't do it for me. I only feel annoyance.

Maura West is a powerhouse and I wish she had a stronger story than foil for that brat Kristina. I really hope Ric isn't dead. Ava/Ric/Liz still has potential for a great triangle while Molly/Cody need to be written like actual adults.

I don't care for NLG, but she always brings it. And while she is obnoxious, I seriously doubt she had anything to do with anyone being fired. The writers have never cared about TJ.

CM is so smarmy as Drew. He's obviously relishing doing something other than his stand up guy characters. Oh, I can't wait for the Drew murder mystery.

It is hilarious, to me, that they just installed the Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Wing earlier this year, and they are shipping Maxie out of General Hospital. Although, they are right about Mass General.

My god Drew is the absolute WORST. He doesn’t even have to be this evil, he just chooses to for his own damn amusement at this point. I can’t wait for everyone to start pulling out their guns and talking to themselves.

Ric read Kristina down! I loved every second of it.

Man they really truly are putting a nail in Ric and Ava damn.

He lit her the hell up. I had to rewind and watch it again.

I don't think I would kill Maxie off.  Mostly because I don't want Felicia to lose both her children.  I would recast or send Maxie/Spinelli out of town with a HEA.  When KS decides she's ready to come back from her endless move across country the show could always bring her back.

The Ric/Kristina/Ava stuff was good today.  I actually gasped when Ava hit Ric in the head lol.

I agree they are playing Drew a little too cartoon villain at this point.
