Any catch Alexa calling Chase 'Jason' as he was leaving Anna?

Getting whiplash with what the writers are doing with Liesel ... last week she had an unexpectedly substantive and almost heartfelt encounter with Anna, then she agreed with Jason that she needed to back off a bit and tell the truth about encouraging Britt to steal Rocco.

Two days later, Dr. O was a full-on shrew with Dante/Lulu. I don't get it. Part of the appeal of the story was that Dr. O was connecting with Rocco because he's a connection to her Britta. Now it's like, stay away.

The highlight of the episode was my new fave DarkWillow slapping Lucas in the best show of workplace violence at General Hospital in forever.  Willow as a character has gotten so good & so fun after this Drew relationship and no longer being a boring goody-goody victim.  The actress is fantastic and a beauty ( like Hunter Tylo in the 1980s/1990s).  I hope we continue to have tons of soapy Drew-Willow-Michael drama to come.  Just keep the kids off-screen where they belong!

Lucas' reaction was very funny. It was one of those moments that gay indie movies from the '90s or early '00s would have imagined for a soap. So hard to imagine this is the same character Ryan Carnes played. I would say Ron would have had fun with those scenes but Lucas wasn't sexually harassing straight men...

I saw someone on Twitter saying they wished this was the Guza era as he would have slapped her back. I wouldn't have wanted that here, but I guess a lot of people will always miss that certain dark energy his '00s run had compared to the show since.

You know what? Binging myself into August...I actually have enjoyed most of what was going on. And it shocked me a bit even though I was knocking quite a few things. Then it occurred to me why.

The episodes that I've currently been binging through was NOT mob/Sonny centric. The last few I had watched before that, the focus was sloooowly aiming back to two things. One was Sidwell who we all know that I could care less about as Frank's Flavor of the Month though I'm happy Michael has been distracting him. Two there was such a heavy (emphasis on HEAVY) return to Sonny propping. Usually it did not bug me as much as you all. But from Wagger's death to Natalia's current death to some of what I read here about outside of the show MB stuff, Sonny just seem very weak link to me currently. And the fact they have to prop him is another sign of the character's weakness. Seeing Carly back in Sonny Worship mode made me ugh in disgust though I did love the Carly vs Lucas fights. And we know I don't live for Laura being on Sonny Worship duty so I was glad to see her with her daughter being a mother again.

Speaking of Lucas, I've been enjoying the focus on him. Though I believe I miss some of the episodes of why him and Willow are at each other again, I love the intimacy that was on display with him and Marco (mmmm Marco) after Marco was freed. Between them and Martin/Smitty on BTG, it's nice to see gay couples in some form of traditional soap couple tropes. They could have stayed in bed all day and I would have eaten it up. Marco just continues to show how much of a nice addition he has been from the moment the actor appeared with charisma.

But I think that is why I've been enjoying a lot of the episodes I've been binging. Away from the mob, the show has been focused on either family storylines or storylines that I either dislike or have people that I don't mind seeing. None of it is...mobby. I would love for a hospital story to pop up. Perhaps Willow's incoming breakdown...

And lord...that wedding. Where do I even begin? Outside of Curtis's abrupt vanishing at the end of the episode and start of the next, I loved it. It had been a loooooooooooooong time coming since the storylines started under PM. So in a way, I am happy to be back in time to see the fallout. Nina tearing into Drew. Drew trying to justify it all. Ava and Ric and their reaction shots. Drew clearly not caring about his daughter. Kate Mc was acting her unhinged character's butt off. And I am enjoying her spiraling all over the place, runny mascara and all. lol. I loved that Liz and Ric (who I love seeing together on general principle) were there so she has at least someone to pick up the pieces with. I love seeing her at Liz's house...though I do worry that Liz will become a victim of Willow if Willow goes completely insane. There have been flashes that Willow will just go back to 'factory settings' only to go off again. LET...HER. JS. Cuz this has been the most fascinating this character has EVER been. And there's STILL mileage to go with Willow finding out what Drew did in Germany and the fact that no one knows Willow is the reason Sasha is gone. She's a hot mess now and a trainwreck that I don't mind watching. And not sorry for it, either.

Drew continues to be the villain I love to hate. And it is just telling how far he has gotten away from Sam's wishes for his kids because of his own vices. I know that CVE could care less for Curtis vs Drew but good to see it's far from over, so he can leave that in Korte's hands anyway.

I have been liking Portia's dilemma. Well, seeing more of her period. But I don't want her to lose the edge I saw her give a few weeks ago when she was giving villainess. She was justified so I didn't mind rooting for her. I don't need to see Stella propping Trina/Kai though. If anything, I'm over them and just want Trina to be written well.

I actually have liked that people are sloooowly catching on to Joss in the Alias storyline. I like the vibe that it has been giving that this storyline might lead right to Britt, too. Unexpected, but plausible given the current leg of the story has Joss and Vaguhn running all over the world and they played the beat of Joss being out of country a few times already. Side-note...I am liking the little family unit of Anna/Emma/Gio/Outback (?, is that the dog's name). Their scene with Dante (Mmmmm DZ...) was cute.

And as for Britt's story...I was worried from the comments here. And yeah, I could have done without the Jason/Britt montage. And the propping of Britt-as-Rocco's-Mom. But now that it has truly started...I'm liking it so far. Now, don't get me wrong...it is already off to a bad start a la Brenda's/Lucky's-recent return by the isolation of the character, but she was a B/C character at best so it can be the C plot it currently is. I do wonder if she is a captive...then by whom? And I don't like EITHER of the rumors of who it is. Please no whitewashing of characters who have finally found a purpose on this show nor return of dead villains who no one want to see other than their RL SO. THANKS.

Honorable mention to Michael vs Drew (and Drew vs Jason at Liz's house) because I was waiting to see how Rory Gibson held his own with Drew...something we rarely got with Chad in the role. Worth the wait. I do want more.

I like the Maxie recast...outside of her and Alexa sounding alike...her vibe to me gives Maxie.

Not enough BLQ vs Lulu for me. Given all the Gio drama and its progression...I currently can't decide if it's in C plot mode or just 'factory setting' mode. Their rivalry and feud has been carrying since the Nurse Ball...and it was lightning in a bottle in spite of the slanted writing. More please.

It goes without saying I like Liz/Ric/Ava/Cody. I hated the idea behind it (Kristina's plotting) and I am now loathing Cody/Molly because of the elephant in the room *cough*TJ*cough, but I am liking the scheming and mess it is creating of it all.

It does remind me a bit of Brenda and Lucky's returns.  But they were characters the audience actually cared about, so the isolation wasn't as awful as watching Britt throw tantrums.  Or hit on "married" men like she did today.   And believe me it becomes an A plot right as of right now.

-- I have no problem with Drew being a villain, but it gets ridiculous when it extends to this stuff with Scout and Danny. Drew wanted him to be arrested? Uh....ok.

-- Dalton has been completely forgotten about. The show's did a hard left turn and pushed Daniel Goddard aside when Britta and Obrecht came back.

-- I can't get over how ugly that Quartermaine foyer is. Who decided to wrap all the molding and woodwork with the same print used on the wallpaper? Set designers never get that set right.

It seemed very campy, and the last thing their fight was was campy.

His reaction at the beginning of today was a little better though 😂

Yeah, that was the first thing that came to mind when I got to Britt's scenes. Brenda. It quickly turned into Lucky's return and I rolled my eyes. All these different nobody men arriving at her door. Why? So while intrigued, I had to go le sigh at the start at the same time. Or perhaps my intrigue was from the brief Liason scene that turned into Jason's meeting and the significance of the paper not having a date.

You must not have caught my shade. ;) I love Britt, but I can still call a spade a spade. Until she got with Jason, Britt was always a C character who moved to B character when she got with Nik and started to tangle with Liz/Lulu. And then back to C she went. Again...I love her, but I'm under no illusion her return is worth the fandom that Brenda (rightly) and Lucky (also rightly) deserve immediately. Both should have been A plots that immediately got them to town after a month at most. Britt can stay out of town as a C plot.

Sadly, it became A plot as soon as I realized Joss is being written into the storyline. Different. Unexpected. Even plausible given Joss's current storyline. So Jason/Britt can't even get the typical 'Jason somehow/cleverly finds and rescues the girl' storyline he is used to to get the couple some momentum? Wooow lol.

I agree with you. I have been loving to hate Drew for months. And that fact is the ONE thing I don't like about him. It goes against Sam's wishes, and he knows this. Moreso because his daughter and other characters also keep saying it. And he can't put his own pettiness aside to be sure his own child is happy? True to life, but still...disgusting to me. I'm surprised Alexis hasn't tried to unfit parent him. Yet.

Another good episode on Wednesday.  Weakest point was the cartoon intensity Passions-level acting by the Gio actor and his stale storyline that should have ended right after the Nurse's Ball.  He is the worst actor on the show currently and even the younger actors playing Rocco and Danny are more subtle and natural in scenes.

Loved the Alexis-Drew stand off at the end with Alexis in tears.  So perfectly dramatic!  I really hope they don't make Drew too over-the-top in his terrible misdeeds (so far it's been perfect)...he needs to stay on the canvas permanently.  Hopefully Monica's eventual death will reunite the Quartermaines (to a degree).

I love that Drew's targetting Stella for the insurance fraud.  Finally Stella has a god purpose on the canvas being the Luigi Mangione of General Hospital, helping (Tad) Martin out of insurance denial hell. 😅

Tanisha Harper is, has been and will remain the worst actor on the show now that Oscar is rotting in hell.

Not that she doesn't seem to be around the actor playing Isaiah, I guess I can see that.

Lucas saying that Willow shouldn't around children after she slapped him. Following that, Carly shouldn't be around her grandkids or Donna after Carly slapped Nina less than 3 months ago.

Drew is not wrong about Alexis - her first call should've been to let him know Scout was safe. Could Drew bend a little on family time? Yes, but gosh felons like Jason and Alexis sure don't make it easy.

They need to end Gio completely icing out BLQ. It's stupid. At least he admitted he missed her last week. Maybe Rocco telling him he was grateful that BLQ released the truth will move this along. Maybe they're holding Gio slowly accepting BLQ/Dante until fall because it could fall flat because it's kinda old news now.
