Is this a Hallmark movie or a soap? That voiceover ending with Jacob stating Ron and Cecile are really Tyrell and Samantha was a waste. They already gave us this predictable plot point, why not show us Naomi's reaction to finding out her second cousins are June's biological kids. They could have still shown the Smith/Richardsons playing cards at the end for impact.

To me this whole June/Samantha/Tyrell story makes the Ashley/Andre/Derek scenes from earlier in the episode count seem riveting and interesting.

Naomi is a typical rich girl that tries to soothe her guilty privileged behind by being a 'savior'.  She has good qualities, but she comes off as patronizing when she interacts with others.  Although with Bill and Dani as parents, she obviously had to do something to cope with them being less mature then her.

I would have preferred for this to be a red herring and June's daughter to be Jessica, Tyrell's love interest. Say the brother died so that this wouldnt be so cookie cutter and there were actual consquences to June's actions

That's a good point.

The storyline was predictable and by itself would be uninteresting.  What *I* liked was the acting.  The acting today had *me* riveted.

I think I missed something, why is Anita sending Leslie money? Why is Leslie throwing away a possible inheritance? lol

Anita created a blind trust many years ago when Barbara died, to send money to Barbara's family.  The legal condition was that the family would never know where the money came from.
Anita just sent her share of the proceeds from this month's Articulettes reunion to the same blind trust.

We can guess that the letters Leslie has been receiving are from the attorney handling the trust.  That hasn't been said but it's a soapy likelyhood.

Leslie thinks she has no wealthy family to inherit from, so she's not expecting an inheritance and assumes it's a scam.

Lawd. Whispers and theories oozing the grapevine are calling Leslie, ahem, get this, Vernon's illegitimate devil spawn with the late Articulette Barbara. I don't know. Smh.

I'm not sure it was directly stated that Anita was sending Leslie money unless I missed that part today.

However, you do have a possible theory. We know that Anita has been putting money into a trust anonymously for Barbara's family. It is possible that Dana is related to Barbara in some way and some of this money technically belongs to her.

Leslie, Barbara's daughter? niece? sister? cousin? lol

All just theories. We don't really know for sure. However, seems on the nose that Anita added more money to this trust and Leslie gets another letter in the mail about an inheritance.

Stop believing stuff that's made up bull sh*t lol

Just in case this is referring to me. I trust nothing about this show. The showrunners, the writers, the writing, and most certainly, the lack thereof. Even with less than six months in. Besides, all of this would make old man Vernon look like SUCH a hypocrite, wouldn't it?
