LOL same - so funny. 😂

I think the set and number of extras was done much better than the fashion show a couple months ago.

Soooo much better. The joy I felt watching a soap filmed in a unique location that matches and serves its purpose vs. the disappointment I felt when I saw that basic fashion show setup at the country club. I know this won't be a regular thing, but it is so nice to see.

Totally agree - the direction and camera shots were so good today. The crowd shots/reactions was great. Much better execution and gives me hopes that we can/will see more of this later.

  • Awe... Sharon got some nerves and doubts? It is karma for the continued ugliness she has displayed for so long. Sucks.
  • Dana, mama, do not take that ticket... you know damn well no one wants your behind at that concert. At all. Stay home and sulk.
  • Seeing Anita and everyone just beam with pride about the concert is so exciting!!!
  • Shanice, lose the 'tude, sweetie. It is beyond unprofessional.
  • Oh, I kind of forgot Katherine did not know about Deadbeat's deception. Whoopsie.
  • Awe, it is so cute that Vernon is going to be stepping in for Tomas. That is so cute!!
  • I love seeing Ms Vanessa in full control mode. She commands that role so well, and she is not telling Douglas anything he does not need to hear.
  • I love that Ted knew immediately that Dana did something! But it is a damn shame he is going to miss out on the Articulettes reunion!
  • Carlton, why is it you care so much about Nicole? Sir, you are laying it on quite thick right now.
  • Dana is making a SCENE! And Vernon is here to handle it, and I love it.
  • Ashley, calm it down, and do not fall back for this brickhouse. Andre is where you belong. And wow, this brickhouse is as dumb as rocks... good on Ashley for telling him off and setting him straight.

Notes:

  • Damn. They really said, "Everyone on the cast needs to be on set for this concert! It is mandatory!"
  • Oh, the Howard? What a historic theatre for this concert to be taking place at. Again, more use of real-world venues! I love it.
  • That flashy intro of everyone entering into the venue with their tickets was beyond adorable!! Again, these are the unique touches that stand out against the rest.
  • Oh, this is serving Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent right now. I have chills and am so giddy with genuine excitement.
  • I need the music from today's episode to be put on streaming. It would be a missed opportunity for it not to be released.

Well-executed concert - I'm so happy! I was holding my breath, but they did not disappoint.

The previews look amazing - I can't wait for the Kat/Eva/Leslie verbal smackdown. Hayley!!!

I second this. BTG delivered!

Ok, this show needs to work on their cliffhangers. They stay feeling flat.

Carlton is so corny to me. I didn't like him the first time he was introduced and I still don't.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but the Anita solo was completely unnecessary. I'm sure TT probably wanted to showcase that she does jazz, and maybe didn't want the fictional music of the Articulettes to be connected to her own work in real life.

The Articulettes outfits are giving disco, but the sound is giving a whole decade later...definitely late 80s.

It was fun to see the characters mingling in a new environment and they all looked great. Just emphasizes the need for more communal spaces on BTG

Performing 90s New Jack Swing while dressed in 60s Motown is a choice.

Anita’s “jazz” song was def just early 90s grandma R&B.

In yesterday's episode didn't Anita insinuate that her jazz stuff wasn't as popular as her Articulette's stuff, which I thought was an interesting take because I assumed that Anita was a big solo artist and that's why the girls were so angry.

I enjoyed the montage too. My only issue was that they used one photo twice and it felt odd because it was so obvious especially since it was a photo without any of the characters but extras.

Did anyone catch Anita's line yesterday about the studio in her home:

"We added it when the prices were a little astronomical." 😆

Was this supposed to make Anita relatable? We know Anita didn't come from privelege and she grew up in struggle, but she found stardom young and is clearly very rich. I was like really? Oh yeah, I have a whole studio in my home, but don't get it twisted...I got it when prices were less outrageous....Okay girl.

Lol. I saw that and heard it. The other part of this that I payed attention to was her getting snippy with Andre when he told her something like he never saw or knew about that studio in her home. Anita was like "why would you?" It was like she was shading him. "You might be sleeping with my daughter but you ain't family." She didn't say this but this is what I was thinking.

Dude, TMG is utterly hilarious.

Silk Press Sheila was killing me today.

Leslie was more well behaved than usual, even though she did steal the ticket.

I think the genre choice for the Articulettes was carefully chosen to avoid any grumbling from anyone connected to Motown. In fact, the Articulettes music doesn't resemble any real life girl group and that was a wise choice.

Again, Carlton is sleazy and not even subtle about it.

It's tiiiiiiiiiiiime!!! It's been a minute since I skip one. lol.

Sharon with a panic attack? Well...relatable.

Ugh at Silk Press Sheila, but she has been set up as an Articulates fan so it tracks.
