I'm not sure why I wasn't shocked Craig wasn't Alison's husband. I sorta figured that when she started tracking down/stalking Chelsea and faking that injury. I didn't realize it was a twist until I read some of the comments here. I guess in my mind I had already assumed it to be true. 

They really could have developed this Alison stuff more fully so that it would have more of an impact. We saw Chelsea leave with this couple one time and it was dropped for a while until Chelsea decides she wants to see Alison alone. Alison turned her down, but the question is what was her reason/goal for doing this? Chelsea was offering her what she wanted. It's not like Chelsea met Madison and decided to push Alison away and then Alison went psycho. 

I enjoyed seeing Hayley and Caroline. Caroline telling Hayley to message Bill under the guise that Caroline doesn't want to start a movie they won't finish is so real. I loved that tiny nuance of a friend giving you advice on how to approach a situation. 

The dreams have turned out to be pointless at this stage because for whatever reason Chelsea is literally doing the exact opposite of everything her dream folk told her to do. The way she keeps antagonizing Allison instead of just knocking the ho out, she’s definitely got that Dupree overconfidence that everything will work out no matter what.

So not only did the writers foreshadow SilkPress with the Eva cover story, but they foreshadowed this whole 'Allison' stalker mess with that off-hand comment Smitty made waaaaaaay back in the first few months about his social media story? They’ve been rewarding people that are good with remembering details. I had zero recollection of Joey having male escorts.

I can't remember if Joey mentioned male and female off-hand lol, but he definitely mentioned having an escort service. I believe it was just when he and Vanessa were just starting to cross paths and she was dealing with jealous Diego.

 

That I remember re: Smitty's return to work potential article because I had been hoping that this was going to be BTG's doing their first social issue story (since MVJ did come from that time on GH) and doing it with something relevant ie: social media. I believe we all debated that at the time...especially when Chelesa was focusing on her social media-ing first met Craig and 'Allison.' Or at least as a potential social media teen story since Ty was being bullied at the time, too.

Hehe. The day you posted I said the same thing re: choices about Jordan on GH finally getting a set since I know a lot of people here seem to not like the actress's acting. 

 

I agree to some extent. It's the very issue I believe the majority have with the June storyline. It could have been done differently. It doesn't take away for me though for the reasons I stated already with SilkPress. Six months in, her character did need a pivot if they are planning on keeping her which is what appears to be happening (moreso since TMG is their breakout star) right now. 

 

Actually, there have been times on soaps when there is some period of clean slate on there, the writers have the wiggle room to do something that is interesting and shakes up the status quo without history hindering them. What comes to mind for me is Natalie/Jessica on OLTL (which thankfully was resolved to audience satisfaction by the broadcast tv finale by Clint staying Jess's dad) and Gina's missing years on DAYS. Enough wiggle room in the show's history that they could pull it off, but still have the audience engaged because (especially in Jessica's case since we saw her grow up on-screen so of course the audience would feel divisive) there's a somewhat plausible reason for it happening.

 

I don't think anything has been revealed yet that contradicts SilkPress's history on the show. At least, not yet. However, IF Vernon turns out to her father, that WOULD contradict what has been shown so far on screen and would for sure be messy. 

 

But...growing pains yet for this show. They still have a way to go, but I do not feel they are doing the worst things on soap. Or not as bad as others for sure. But I know I have always been in the minority when it comes to the two things listed as issues. And on those two things, I agreed to disagree because I personally got tired of seeing it pop up once a month (at least at the start of the show starting). I already stated my views on those so a back and forth on those specifically are a moot point.

Yes his escort business is how he and Vanessa first got together. She had sex with Doug and he left. She go annoyed and decided to use the escort service. When she showed up, Joey was there and mentioined he owed it and had all her info bc she was a regular client. He read her about her situation but hedidnt judge her which seemed to turn her on and I think that was the switch that made her let her guard down to actually entertain sleeping with him

It later came up again a few weeks after when she went on a date at OG with a guy from the business and Doug walked in on them. I think it was said or implied that one of her hookups in the first month also came from that. Probably most of the random dates we've seen her on were actually

In regards to the Caroline/Hayley friendship scenes, I liked their vibe and it makes me wonder why it took 120+ episodes for the two to have a good friendship scene.  This makes me wonder if this episode is the first batch of episodes written/constructed after the debut of the show and perhaps more tweaks will continue to show up.

@TaoboiI do remember Chelsea talking to Martin about the trouple set up between her/Allison/Craig.. and mentioning that the encounters between her and Allison were so much more satisfying that they were leaving Craig out of it.  Looking back, another little nugget of foreshadowing especially when it is now revealed that Craig wasn't involved/married to Allison... and I do remember when Joey revealed his owning the escort service after Vanessa tried to ulitize the service and he called her out on it.

With that said, I wonder if Chelsea will bring up that she did go to Allison wanting to explore their connection.. and Alison turned her down explaining that she was married and that their times together were meant to be no strings attached because she was married to Craig.

I'm still thinking there is another shoe waiting to drop... and that too good to be true Madison is somehow involved with this.  Especially since she admitted that she had also followed Chelsea on social media and was being bashful about it.  

Or after Chelsea is rescued, she's going to push Madison away and become less about her social media platform and becoming reclusive.
