Pretty much. That and paralysis on key issues (Sonny, Carly, etc). They would not have these D-list pairings years ago just to say they're there.

Absolutely.  It's a lot of treading water with Jason, Sonny, Carly hoping something sticks or Frank will just figure it out later.  I guess Jason has Britt now, but Carly and Sonny are basically on pause in their personal lives until they reunite or, idk, Sonny gets back with Nina and they recast Jax or something.

All three feel washed and tired. They're an afterthought to the key stories on the show, no matter how much they try to pump up mob action.

Maura West, for example, was down 23% as of end of June 2025 vs. 2024 (41 vs. 53).

This pisses me off, since a talent like Mauta West should be leading story.

I think Ava works best as a spark plug character. There is some potential if Ava is caught between Ric and Cody but now that just means she is in story with recurrers.

Which she should not be; I love the Ava and Ric pairing. I do. But I need more for Ava and for Maura West.

I'm trying to figure out the endgame for Alexis, Kristina, Ric and Ava when Laura discovers the massive theft from Ace's trust. The protecting an adult woman (Molly) from learning her sister is a *Heather* was a ridiculous premise. I do wonder if that was another potential exit route for Ava. The other three can go, but MW needs to stay.

I don't see West going anywhere right now, thankfully.

It's too soon to be sure but I hope this isn't another case of GH taking the quickest route out of long-term drama. I would absolutely not have ended the Drew/Willow relationship here, I would've had her marry him. This entire scandalous saga is the only really strong story on the show.

It's Ric and Ava with the reaction shot of the day, one which given the state of daytime I may make much use of in future.

I am mad Willow and Drew didn't get married and wish she dropped the bomb at the reception or something.  Lack of drama there.  But Willow showing up in her wedding dress with smeared mascara completely unhinged at CARLY'S trying to see her kids was amazing.

Also, in a subplot no one cares about; why would Molly get flustered about Cody seeing her reading romance novels?  Because it juvenile since she actually was a young girl when she wrote her own books?   Yes, it's so embarrassing having two published novels because she's just a serious girl these days that isn't proud of her accomplishments.
