Martin did something bad 2 years ago

The man lived and the Duprees paid him off to leave the country

Im even more confused bc I thought someone died and it happened much longer ago

So Ashley/Derek couldn't live together successfully, and now he's proposing? I'm confused.

He had gotten advice from Naomi to just go for it, but I don't think she meant for him to propose to her... but she had advised him to not wait and take action (stemming from her trauma at her dad having a stroke).

Madison is doing too much. Its unethical for a doctor to be dating family of her patient. She's acting like a giddy school girl

I do think Chelsea was super inappropriate to gawk at her in the hospital vs. actually care about her dad. But, I'm not mad about Madison being interested in Chelsea afterwards. I think it's fine to be interested in a patient's family member if everyone is an adult and it's consensual. It helps that the actress is really strong and likable (Madison). I'm here for more!

I thought it had happened longer ago, too.  So two years ago... means that it happened a few years after Martin and Smitty adopted the children.

Its no illegal but its frowned upon and many hospitals will have codes of conduct advising against it. Should things end badly, it could potentially get messy. Also its much easier to violate HIPAA unintentionally. They started talking about Bill, which I found unprofessional. As a patient, he probably wants Madison's information to be strictly about his medical status and what he tells her, not personal details that his daughter is sharing. Thats put him in a position to feel uncomfortable.

Derek and Ashley are sure a hot topic on the internet for two people who are supposed to be boring.

Good point on the HIPAA stuff, I didn't think about that. Maybe wait until after they're no longer a patient then, at least haha.
