-- A week of repeats this early in the show's run is nuts. That's just clueless.

-- Ashley. Does. Not. Work.  I feel bad for the actress, but she doesn't fit, and someone at this show insists on forcing her on us. She has ZERO chemistry with Andre. That conversation today with Andre was CRINGE. He fed her ONE LINE and she gave him back those puppy dog eyes and said he always Iknows what to say. What the fck.

-- So stupid that Andre hangs around that nurses desk all day, and that Ashley -- who's supposed to be working -- has all this time for extended conversations about dating.

-- I like Eva vs Kat, but i do wish the entire setup of running the office was better written. None of this "Kat will show you what to do" stuff is believable. And didn't Eva completely overhaul the system for NIcole to the point where Laura was lost??? Now Eva is clueless. OK.

-- I liked Anita being OK with Dani dating Andre, but I thought some of the language from Dani was disrespectful to Anita. She was THISCLOSE to saying "I ride Andre's Big D every night."

-- I might be alone in this, but I really struggle listening to Chelsea's baby girl voice. Make it stop.

-- Glad to see Smitty and Martin kiss. Still waiting for that sex scene.

Very much agree with your points.

I struggle with RhonniRose's acting in general. Definitely improved tho.

Also, it seems like Andre has enough money he doesn't need to work or at least consistently. But if photography is his passion, why is such a young guy sticking around the DMV when he has no serious ties holding him there especially when he's not doing the thing he loves. You're telling me Dani is supposed to be this amazing thing holding him back? Or nurse?

I was definitely on Ted’s side today against Nicole. But he’s still keeping another big secret from her 🤦🏽‍♂️

while i’ve been lukewarm about nuTed, this exchange is the first time i was really feeling him and nicole.

and, yes, he keeping another big secret — but he told her he had something to tell her and she immediately assumed that it was dani/andre, then went on a tear and wouldn’t let him get a word in.

nicole has been presented as a paragon of virtue. very realistic that they’re showing this side of her, given everything she’s been through.

I still felt nothing between nuTed and Nicole but honestly I don’t know how I could. I actually got to see OG Ted and Nicole be absolutely in love and have great chemistry. They plopped this new weak Ted at an awful moment so I still just don’t see it. Maybe one day I’ll like him but there have definitely been recasts in my soaP viewing I never grew to like 😂. My favorite is I was a huge fan of the original Ethan on Passions and absolutely despised Eric Martsolf when he took over.

eg Mon Dani talks to Pamela and they show some major scenes in her story. It could actually add to character depth as Dani looks back and does some soul searching.Tues could be the Martin story Wed Ted/Nicole etc

I agree this would be a better idea than just repeats. I'd also say they should've done a push to get viewers to catch up via streaming.

This week made me feel that when Nicole learns the truth about Martin and that everyone, even her parents, kept it from her, her mental health will take a turn for the worse.

I feel for Nicole when all is revealed about who knew what and when, and that they gave her no agency to decide for herself.   I have faith that Ms. Duplaix will rock her scenes and I will be sobbing and cheering all at once.

I see more chemistry with Jacob and Smitty.

I feel the same! I was thinking "why couldn't Jimbre have been Martin?" Brandon could have been the more stiff, by the book cop.

Didn't like Kat setting up Eva at the office with the accreditations, but then again, I wasn't really liking Eva's attitude in this ep either. She was so smug taunting Kat. They're both wrong...but it's a great rivalry. lol

It still never hit me until this episode that Anita AND Vernon AND Ted know about Martin's "secret" behind Nicole's back. She's gonna blow! I'm here for it. Daphne is great in this role.

I am on the "Ashley is annoying" train, for sure. the writing for the character doesn't help Jen much. She comes off as whiny, having OCD, and just a complete mess that doesn't know what she wants. I don't understand the character and Jen may not either.

I am also in agreement with it being a mistake to air a week of repeats. Thurs/Fri yes, but the whole week? I wish soaps were given the respect they deserve, but I suppose with the current state of the ratings it won't happen. I long for the days that networks didn't dare interrupt an ep for fear of the backlash from viewers. Now, they interrupt for any excuse possible. Just sad.

What is the reason they are airing repeat episodes next week??

I don't know if I want the documentary narrator "What color is ya munny!" That's So Raven stare as the goody two shoes cop. I think if anything the pretentious, uppity Carlton Banks role is a better fit.

Unpopular opinion (on this board anyway)... but I think the correct actors are playing Martin and Jacob.

Jacob is supposed to be a wide eyed idealistic young man that's joined the family tradition of becoming a cop like his old man.  I think that idealism is one of the things that attracted Jacob and Naomi to one another.   I couldn't see Brandon play that type of character.

Martin is supposed to be an upper crust snob that went into politics because of his grandfather, who he idolized.   I think he's played the tortured scenes quite well as well as his elitism toward those he deems beneath him.   He views himself as superior to Smitty.. whether he wants to admit it or not.

I agree. I do think BC has improved by leaps and bounds since February.

I wouldn't go that far; improvement has been slow. Very slow.

The idea of Anita being so missed after... a week? that she has to return for one on one check ins with her extended brood is hysterical.  And I'm here for it.

I also am enjoying how petty Nicole has been.  But from all I've heard, she is the most to quick to judge other family members.

They really should have promoted this as "Binge BTG" with lots of hype.  There should be promos on TV and online.

Remember during the COVID break summer 2020, B&B and Y&R aired repeats and they promoted it a lot.  They know how to do this, if they choose to.

Absolutely. Now, it probably would have been wiser to push all the interviews the actors did this week to next week and tease the audience. Just to keep the fan engagement going on social media.

Procter and Gamble had a table at a Juneteenth celebration close to where I live. When I told the people running the table that I watch Beyond the Gates that P&G produces they didn't know what I was talking about, but tried to play it off. I almost felt dumb for mentioning it.

That's awful. I spoke about the show with a P&G vendor, and they knew exactly what I was speaking about.
