I enjoyed today's show. I liked seeing Mona again and her confronting both Eva and Leslie. I did feel for Eva, especially at the end of their confrontation, when Mona said "Good", when Eva mentioning losing everybody she cared about. Though, I can understand Mona's anger and Leslie deserved every bit of her ire. Both Leslie/Eva betrayed her especially Leslie. Mona put her both her professional and personal relationships with the Duprees on the line and what Leslie/Eva did put her in an awkward position.

Speaking of Leslie she continues to act trifling and caring only about herself and her needs. At this point, it only seems like she cares about herself and wanting Ted for herself. I'm not even sure how if her feelings for Mona were ever sincere, though she called out about people turning against her after Mona left. I have yet to see Leslie really display that she sincerely cares about anyone, and I do think that needs to change at some point.

I enjoyed Nicole and her scenes today with Leslie/her children. I also like that Martin took a more sensible approach regarding how the family should handle Eva. He did straight up acknowledge she was his sister, and it seemed like he was open to up to accepting her. I think he will be among the first in the family to soften towards/accept her. And in spite of the way she was introduced into their lives, he will end up being happy to have two little sisters.

I wonder again about Kat/Eva being twins/Eva being Nicole, when Martin/Kat brought up them being the same age and Kat even used the word "twins" in disbelief, when Martin suggested they shared a connection from the beginning.

There was a few times when Silk Press Sheila came into her apartment after going grocery shopping.. she could have been unloading her items as she talked to Eva or Ted and saw a few of the products on the counter that are P & G products.

I really hope the next steps with the show are building up/out family or story for both Mona and Shanice. Mona has always struck me as prime real estate for a proper family setup.

Joey and Vanessa's scenes are boring. Get Vanessa away from him.

Anita and Eva scene was great too! Lots of good scenes in today's episode.

Well as I sit here waiting for my new episode to load on my system, I'm rewatched Friday.

Say what you want, but I will always live for the Dupree family moments. And I love how much Vernon and Anita were being there for Nicole. Tag-team comforting. That was just cute.

I also love...and I've said it before...how BTG does what Y&R used to do with major characters who you think are not going to be in the episode. Have them pop up later in the episode. It was a nice surprise to see Eva appear halfway through. And I knew at some point that SilkPress Sheila would wind up at that house alone with Nicole. Still gasped since it was the only time she was in the episode.

Another thing that I'm loving has been as we are dealing with fallout from the SilkPress storyline which has been the A story...the writers are finally developing the OTHER A story...that's been in the background. That being Martin's Secret. Love the foreshadowing throughout. From Dani vs Bill and asking what else he was hiding to Kat/Smitty talking post another Martin outburst...which are building...to those unexpected Bill/Smitty scenes. Shame on Bill for planting seeds in Smitty's head.

And the unexpected combo was also great. Vernon/Nicole. Kat/Smitty. Bill/Smitty. Even getting another Martin/Ted scene in. I liked that characters aren't just sticking too much into story bubbles.

I definitely enjoying all the fallout from the SilkPress/Eva reveal. Eva might be done, but she ain't out. And I continue to get SMG Kendall vibes. Was she wrong? Yep. But she was partly tricked, too. So she definitely has an underdog vibe written all over her for some redemption. And one of the best plots on the show continue to be Kat vs Eva. So Kat seeing Eva getting closer to Tomas is only going to make that rivalry worse. It's been interesting to see the effects on the whole Richardson family from Nicole to Ted to Martin. And yes, fingers crossed that Martin stays triggered...since it feels like it's building onto his secret.

Oops at Nicole finding out Andre knew about Ted. I do wonder if she might say it to Dani. And then Dani winds up breaking it off permanently with Andre. And yay! Vanessa showed up for her BFF.

I'm enjoying the C plot of the homeless woman. I totally think there's more to her. And it gives Naomi and Jacob a story. I'm sure I've said it before, but I do wonder if it will tie into the crooked cop story or even Joey somehow. And good to see Ashley and Derek...ironically in a C plot.

And good to see we got three cliffhangers again. I hope this week does the same on Friday.

I'm intrigued.

Love that score and hope they use more of it. I’d call it “Leslie’s theme” lol 😆

Lol. Yeah, one thing I can say for sure...when SilkPress is about to have a crazy moment, they do give her music.

That's how I feel when I see Dani LOL

I knew a few people that purchased those products based on the product placement on the show.  It's loads better than when ATWT and Days used to do it.

I’m one of those people 😂

I think with the Silk Press Sheila/Eva/Ted/Nicole situation fully out and in the open (for the most part)... I have some predictions for May/June:

Kat/Eva/Tomas:  With the revelation that her father, who she held up as a hero, is not as perfect as he's presented himself to be.. I see Kat focusing her energy on supporting her mother and pushes Tomas away (she had mentioned to Vernon about how Tomas had asked her to step in and talk Naomi into dropping the lawsuit and how she didn't feel comfortable with that).   With Tomas pushed away from Kat.. he becomes the one individual that's nice to Eva and also feels a bit of guilt since his telling of what she confided in him to Kat ended up being the spark that made Kat resume investigating Eva.   Eva will also go to Tomas for comfort... and that will cause even more conflict/issues between herself and Kat... and Kat and Tomas.

Nicole/Ted:  As we've seen for the last 2+ months... Nicole is not anything like Dani and her response to Silk Press' bombshells proves that.  Even if she opts not to file for divorce.. I predict a messy War of the Roses type of situation.   Although she kind of bought this on herself with the bottomless pit of trust she had for Eva irregardless of the fact that she came recommended by Mona.

Martin:  I have a feeling that his memories of the being Silk Press Sheila's little brownie friend will also revive the nightmares full stop.. and May will have this be the A story with Smitty and kids affected by this secret of his from the past.  If found out.. will Smitty leave him, or will Smitty continue his unhealthy devotion to Martin (and it is unhealthy)?

My wishlist for May/June for the B and C stories:

And also, I hope we get some more focus/development on the Joey/Vanessa/Doug situation.. and also connect the threads of that threesomes to Jacob/Jacob's partner/Jacob's dad thread... and also get to see who else Joey starts to set his sights on (perhaps a Dupree.. since they're vulnerable right now).

Naomi/Jacob:  Cute couple.. but why are they together.  As the late Agnes Nixon would ask if she viewed them .. why are they together?  What is it about Naomi and Jacob's pasts pre marriage has led the two to find one another and get married?  Naomi seems a control freak... is it a way to not be like her 'weak' mother Dani so she calls the shots?  What draws Jacob to Naomi?  Is it her sense of justice and passion?  Is it the Dupree last name?

Ashley/Derek:  The last time she was on, we finally got a bit of personality from her that isn't so perfect.  She's high strung/anal about her surroundings and her life.  Is she like this because she was a latchkey kid due to her single mother working all the time?  Is she only with Derek because he's 'simple' and 'uncomplicated'.. someone she thinks won't try to upset her routines?  As I say... I don't know if the writers/producers have the 'why' figured out for these two.. and if they can figure that out.. story can generate from that.

Oooooo I like these. I like we are on the same page about Little Brownie Man. And I hope to remember this at the end of June to see how much of it came to pass. I definitely feel that the Eva vs Kat story is about to reaaaally get going.

As for the B/C stories, it's funny you mentioned the Joey/Vanessa/Doug story first. Because out of all of those, it is the only one that has enough structure and build to it that it could keep going as a B story that could eventually climax. I think the only POV we don't have in it is Joey's at this point because Month 2 put in the work to give us Doug's and Vanessa's and they are now circling each other and their relationship. And we still need to know Joey's endgame.

Why we gotta pick on Jacob and Naomi? We need that goody good couple. lol. They talked about how they got together. Mind you, very briefly. But we do need to know a little bit more about both. Something I was hoping we were getting by having them in their own stories....him with the crooked cop, her with the lawsuit...but it didn't turn out as hoped. Hopefully, that won't be the case with June though.

Yeah, I want to see more of THAT Ashley.

I finally had to break down and explain to my manager why I keep laughing every time I see the bottle of Febreze at work. The product placement definitely be working.

What’s hilarious is what when the Dupree’s get messy, everyone kisses their asses, excuses it, and Anita and Vernon go into coverup mode. Those Dupree’s are such hypocrites (but the writing tries to paint them as totally right/moral) and we need more people to call that out beyond Leslie and Eva.

So true. Their hypocrisy is on another level. When Anita called Ted a coward because he used Bill as a fixer, I almost choked on my Ritz. And Dani calling Ted worse than Bill as a husband because Bill never pretended to be a good person? Then why stay with him for decades and continue to kiss up to him, Dani?

I was glad when Bill told Anita he wouldn't be her punching bag.

Jon Lindstrom has the same type of smoking hot chemistry with Lauren Buglioli that he has with Lynn Herring 🔥

Not for me. I can think of 100 other actors who would have smoking hot chemistry with LB. Lindstrom does not. I see zero chemistry. None. Joey isn't sexy or scary.

-- Mona was awesome today.

-- Why was Eva playing cards in the back room of the casino?

-- Can they make Anita any more sanctimonious and self-righteous?

-- Dani said Anita had Ted shook. LOL. Really?

Might this show be a black stereotype? Angry crazy acting women like Dani and Leslie. Cheating punk men like Bill and Ted who didn't keep it in their pants. Angry black men like Martin. Promiscuous black man wanting the white girl. Dirty black cops. And so on?

No. But I see what you're trying to do.

This is a SOAP OPERA. Characters HAVE to make mistakes and sin and screw up and cheat. That's the deal.

I understand the concern that we have 2 leading Black men who have cheated on their wives. I do. But I also understand that this is SOAPS 101. Are we going to hear complaints every time a Black character messes up???

It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. **

I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by.

However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are.

I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems.

*** edit to add:
The show never specified what Mona's job was for Nicole.  Home manager?  Office manager?  Head personal assistant?  I'm sure there would have been a title?
Mona asserted today her upset with Eva and with Leslie.  That they used her and ruined her reputation.  I just wish I knew what Mona's job was.
If Mona was an official manager, then it would have made sense for Nicole to trust the recommendation, if Nicole thought Mona had done a proper hiring procedure.  But if Mona is just an informal helper, then why wouldn't Nicole order a background check?
