DEAD at 'what you do?' Naomi is suing Bill and it is automatically his fault.

A so so episode today, but Ron C was involved so no surprise it wasn't stellar.

- Chelsea has a little bit of fire in her, didn't know the girl had it in her.

- I wonder if the writers/producers benched Ashley/Derek/Andre for a week because they saw things weren't working in order to figure out how to fix it.  There were subtle improvements, and elevating Shanice's airtime will only benefit the three.

- Yesterday I was wondering about Laura, and today we got an answer that she's still in recovery and that Shanice doesn't seem too keen on Eva.  Maybe have Eva/Ashley/Shanice in a scene... show us, don't tell us.

- Dani/Bill = yawn.   Dani is so one note and the writing isn't doing her any favors.

As I said, not a bad episode.. but not a great episode either.

And that whole scene is why Bill and Dani will probably be endgame. They fell back into their old roles waaaaay too easily. And there was chemistry there.

Naomi's relationship with Bill very much gives those soap characters who grew up thinking someone else was their father, like Bo and Victor on Days or Margo and John on ATWT.

Andre is showing a nastier, manipulative side and that might help this story a bit. Him making Derek's picture look bad was so petty.

Andre being nasty? I'm convinced now that this trait runs in the family. Him, his uncle Ted, his cousin Martin, etc.

Well, there's Ted and Nicole's FOINE doctor friend who was at Nicole's award event for sure. And I agree. Watching Dani today in work mode...and the other times she's been...she has that drive so I could see her opening a modeling business.

She was very gracious and I scurried away.  But, I had to tell someone, and nobody else at Gelson's seemed to care.

You should have kidnapped her and locked her in a secret room. 

Demand she spill on future stories and not release her till she drops Derek and recasts Tomas.

She's a soap writer-she will understand. And you will get off scott free to continue to  roam Gelson's.

I agree it was so/so but I did think it had much more natural dialogue than yesterday (I know, Ron C doesn't do the dialogue...) Monday had SO much high-faluting dialogue and allusions that just came out awkward...

And all of them are getting the proper build, too. Well except for Anita's. I fully expect that to change.

I mean why not do modeling in her 40s? There's never been a time where modeling has been more inclusive. She doesn't need to do runways in Paris and Milan, but she's gorgeous and can do a lot of commercial work like print ads. I'm not saying that's the direction I want the character to go in, but it's definitely not out of the question. Way more plausible them some of the other stuff they seem to be pushing on us.

And they can write a lot of good soapy moments from the country club considering how many characters intersect with that setting

Dani Dupree does not need to go work at the country club, lol. This is not the summer beach season on Saved by the Bell. Only way Dani gets that kind of job is if she ends up killing or seriously harming people with her drinking and ends up doing public service. Which is possible!

Dani is a hot mess of a character, but that is good soap. And I'm sure she can be humbled in many ways. But I'm more interested in her next chapter, which should be bigger and bolder given her career history.
