BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread

I think it'll start with Maurice and transition into Keith since it's said Keith debuts in May. Maybe the actual event will have old Ted and then Keith will take over the week of May 5th and handle the fallout. Interesting time to make the switch since this is one of the most difficult circumstances for a recast, jumping into a major story.

I know many have stated they feel Samantha is too old but before I learned her age, I didn't feel this way at all. I think she feels like a contemporary of Tyrell and I do believe she's younger than Kat and Chelsea. This could just be a me problem though. I've grown to love that family and a big part of it was introducing the kids so I might just be blinded by enjoying their chemistry.

I've only watched Monday-Wednesday but one thing I loved about this week is finally getting to see different characters interacting. We got Kat and Chelsea with Samantha, Martin FINALLY with his alleged father and I know it was last week but we got Vernon/Anita with their great grandkids and Derek with Haley. 

One thing that is irritating me is that Chelsea is wanting to manage Samantha's modelling career when she knows how devastated her mother was when she said she was quitting modelling. I feel like although the family makes excuses for Dani, nobody is realizing just how lonely and isolated she is. This is a recipe for disaster for Dani.

Same. Now that it was confirmed...again...about the actress's age...there have been moments when my mind remembers, but I can suspend my belief cuz the bonds are there. And for the most part, her age does not show for me IMHO. But we are talking about someone who is very used to this from the days of original recipe 90210.

The one weakness that Ron C seems to employ in his episodes are the all too short scenes.  

To me, I'd rather have seen the Andre/Ted, Eva/Shanice, Eva/Silk Press Sheila, and Vanessa/Joey scenes be longer.. and cut out the Doug scenes and the Dani/Chelsea/Samantha scenes.

We got some backstory from Ted's perspective on what was going on with Silk Press Sheila and Nicole.  Now do we believe he only had that one affair?  I'm on the fence about that.

Shanice and Eva were a good combo, but I'd rather they be frenemies then friends since they're both so nosy and all

Eva and Silk Press Sheila are a good mother and daughter duo.

So Joey was previously married....hmmmmm.  The show doesn't mention something like that unless it will come into play later.  While I hate making characters related, making Joey the long lost father of Ashley would actually give her character some purpose since lord knows the show seems incapable of giving that girl any sort of purpose other then as the perky nurse. 

There was no need for Dani to be on today, and I feel that the writers will make her the Reva of the show.. and that isn't a compliment.
