PLOT TWIST! Ya'll know the Natalia Grace story? I swear thats Samanta. She wasnt a kid when adopted. She was 19, lied about her age and scammed Martin and Smitty into funding her life style for her and her baby,Tyrell

I agree with all of this. I'm committed to BTG, too, and I watch every day -- giving it more of my attention than the other soaps get.

Still, problems exist that need to be fixed, and that includes storyline that's new and fresh and that moves. I love all the parties and get-togethers, but I need plot progression at the same time. I really thought BTG would be much edgier than it is. It hasn't moved soaps into the 21st century. Characters are energized and talking, but not much is HAPPENING.

I worried about and cringed at all the "Wait for sweeps!" comments made in the first 2 months, but said nothing. Sorry, that's old-school thinking. I do not want to wait for sweeps for something big to happen. Give it to me on any unexpected weekday. If you do, you'll have your audience there for sweeps.

I know I shouldn't speak for anyone but myself, but I acknowledge that too many of us expected too much from the jump.

Starting a new soap is an enormous endeavor and challenge, and in many ways BTG has done a great job. Still, we were calling EVERYTHING incredible and magnificent and game-changing and brilliant from episode one. We were handing out Emmys all over the place. Now we're getting back to earth.

I'm comfortable with the criticism of the show which has obviously increased dramatically. It's honest and genuine, and I hope people from the show see it and use it.

I criticize the other soaps all the damn time, many times to the point of abuse LOL. I won't be treating BTG any differently.

I agree with this; my sentiments exactly.

LOL - I know that story and it is WILD.  At this point, I'd accept that as a storyline here just to get something good and surprising going.

  • Love that everyone is kind of in awe of Anita performing at Uptown. It's really cute and shows pride (through support).
  • Vernon is setting Anita up with a talent manager? Hmm.
  • Dana continues to underestimate Eva, who fully understands what is going on and what's going to happen. She's smart, Dana. You did raise a smart lady.
  • Williams? Anita's maiden name revealed? Quite interesting. But this talent manager is laying it on thicker than thick. Anita Williams Live?! Oh, okay then.
  • Why do I have a feeling Bill is about to rip Tomas' backside apart? Oh, this is worse than I thought. He played Naomi. Disgusting.
  • I'm beginning to see: Dani does not know her own identity, and when she isn't falling down blasted three sheets to the wind, it's becoming more apparent.
  • Ted, that new jewellery piece is going to cost you and might end up IN you as a deadly weapon.
  • Well, "Sherry" is back, I see.
  • Mr Price is proposing a "Return to Love" type of situation with Anita, Dani and Naomi, like Diana Ross did with Lynda Laurence and Scherrie Payne.
  • Samantha, honey, turn down the enthusiasm, sweetie. It's a bit try-hard.
  • So Nicole wants Eva at her table? Oh, this is getting messier and messier by the moment.
  • So "Sherry" got Avery fired from his job? Oh, honey, that's a MESS, chile!
  • Anita's terrified about this, and it makes sense. It's also relatable and does remind me a bit of Whitney Houston's return to the spotlight.

Very much how I feel. I'm not critical, because I want this project to fail. I'm just expressing what I see as I would with any other soap. I have watched every single day and I am giving BTG its kudos as well.

Mayebe some of us went in with expectations and maybe some of those were too high. However I'm not going to Kandi Koat what's not good or keep some delulu vision of the show.

The actor who plays Ted seems super positive about the show on Twitter and keeps posting really cute things. Do we know why there's going to be a change or what exactly happened?

Mm-hmm. I agree 💯. And I really don't understand why some people can't accept that we all have different opinions. It's just so simple. We are grown ass people.

I don't ask of anyone to share my thoughts. If someone is in complete awe and finds that everything is perfect and sublime... I'm jealous. Good for you. Amazing. Wow. So great.

And yes... When a good episode is delivering... I'm one of the biggest freaking cheerleaders.

I don't feel like I need to excuse my right to be honest on a soap opera forum.

The man is just class personified. He's been let go and he's still championing the show.
