Fully agree about the expository stuff. That's clunky no matter how it's written, even if it is necessary in the beginning. I hope we're through that for the most part.

Re: the "you are a wonderful person" thing....I can do without so many references to "The Duprees will always rise" and "No one does that to the Duprees" and "There's nothing like being a Dupree." I wish I knew we were supposed to side-eye those statements, but I wonder if we're just supposed to nod in agreement. Sorry, Duprees, beneath all your money and your history, you're as big a mess as any other dysfunctional family.

If I'm rolling my eyes at Y&R dialogue like this about the Newmans and the Abbotts, and about the Forresters on BOLD, I'm going to roll my eyes at the Duprees on BTG.

Yes! This is one trope I wish BTG had eschewed. He's a former Senator and she's an EGOT. That tells us they're an important family. We get it.

I'm going to have to disagree here. Maybe it's another Minority Rapport & if so, so be it.

But, I'm not at all bothered by the affirmations & the family pride & expressions of it.

Plus, to me the majority of the dialogue has been either fine or better. As it goes, the exposition, about 85% has been smooth not awkward.

Is anyone else watching it delayed on Pluto? Are the episodes available to people outside the US on that streamer?

I couldn’t find it on Pluto in the UK. I’m really sad Paramount Plus didn’t carry it for us same/next day, same with Y&R and B&B

In the US Paramount Plus with Showtime = new episode loads at 5 eastern.

In the US regular Paramount Plus = new episode loads at 6 eastern.

So, effectively, there is NO reason to pay extra for "with Showtime"

Cady is like 12 years older than Karla and came across very matronly in comparison. It doesnt make sense why her character would be best friends with Dani whom as other said is a more natural fit for someone with a more youthful spirit like Vanessa

Also was Doug's character originally envisioned as white? That McBride last name throws me off as its Irish

It would have made more sense for her character to have been friends with Nicole, especially as I’m sure Cady said her character is the owner of a spa, that could have been some sort of medi spa that’s housed within Ted’s private plastic surgery practice and involve her in whatever story is coming up with Ted, Silk Press Sheila and Nicole.

IMO you are unlikely to find a more vivacious, bubbly, gregarious spirit than Cady. And, besides these people are acting so their real personality is moot. I caution again let's wait & see. How can we judge off this tiny bit/s?

I'm willing to make a wager on Silk Press and/or Eva busting Ted at Nicole's gala no matter the outcome of Monday's showdown. I suspect the gala is next Friday? And I doubt it will go off without a hitch. The show is moving quickly, but it has to out of the gate in these times and with GH's competition (however lackluster). I just wonder what the endgame is for Dana if it comes out that soon.

Well, and I know I'm being mean, but there is something distracting about Ashley's nose.

It's funny---but firefighter dude? Reminds me of Brooke's OG boyfriend at the start of B&B, played by Stephen Shortridge, IIRC.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't tell some of the guys apart. There's boytoy photographer, there's congressman grandson, there's cop, and there's cardiologist and plastic surgeon. They pretty much act and dress the same.

And I didn't like that BS press conference to cover up Dani's tirade. And then to have Nicole lecture Kat on using her privilege? GMAB.

You were talking about Ashley & Derek. My mistake. I thought you were speaking of Bill & Hayley. Seems like  I'm the only one remarking on those two.

Taboi's reference to "nosy nurse" was not about Ashley.
It was about Ashley's nursing supervisor "Shanice", the fun gossipy character.

Yeah. What the above said. I love me some Shanice.

Still working my way through Thurs March 6.  Oh wow.
That line from Smitty:
"it doesn't mean that my needs and dreams are gonna be ignored by default. And I am not gonna put my life on hold - just to avoid upsetting you!"

I did that in my own life, gave up my needs and dreams just to avoid upsetting my "partner" at the time.   And giving that up - it gave me lasting scars.  It was many years before I finally left that person.

This is the catharsis of good drama.  I reexperience my own life trauma by watching it fictionally, and it gives me a way to process it.  I thought I was past it, but there are still layers of those scars within me, that I see I still need to process.

A good soap will entertain, but also inspire a viewer to examine their own life choices, and perhaps make needed changes.   I hope this storyline helps viewers to leave toxic relationships before there are longterm scars.

I did that with my first serious relationship. And sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I had gone ahead and followed my dreams back in 2005 before self-publishing took off to where it became when I chose myself in 2013. Moreso because my first relationship was not worth my time and apparently was not what it was in reality as I found out years later over a lovely bottle of champagne when we were no longer together and civil enough to have a conversation about the woulda, shoulda, coulda.

I can see why that resonates. Another sign of good soap indeed.

Dani to Hayley: "The fairy tell never tells you how Prince Charming can become a real son-of-a-b!tch, once that ring goes on your finger."

Another piece of great dialogue. This show soo has that in spades.

Nicole told us early on, what kind of sister she is to Dani.

Also this

"One of the things I have learned from my patients: People are born who they are. Outside influence either takes or it doesn't. Dani is exactly herself: A force of nature with no apologies." - Nicole, BTG, S1E1 2-24-25

I can barely keep up with this thread. It might break the board

Andre/Dani have the most off the charts heat generating romantic chemistry that I haven't seen in I don't know how long.

That's because there's so much good to talk about up in here. 😜 And it's actually going slower (for now) than last month. :)

They do, but I agree with others that it's not romantic chemistry as fiery chemistry. But like you said...it wouldn't be the first time a booty call turned into the love. I was just mentioning my first serious relationship. THAT was my FIRST relationship so...hehe.

I can't remember the last time we did daily threads. I know it happened. I do think eventually activity will reach a normal flow state for the show.
