I'm team Naomi *and* team Hayley.

We know that Michele Val Jean has sensitivity writing about rape and sexual harassment issues.
I think Hayley encountered some sexual harassment from Mike in the past, and doesn't want Bill to know, so she hopes the case gets dropped.  That could be a multi-layered situation.
What if Hayley wants her past hidden, and maybe she submitted under duress?  And initially she comes off as the villain, but eventually Naomi sees that Hayley needs support, too?

Now Hayley's aware of Bill's possible wandering intentions with his new client "Lorinda".  Hmmm.

Eva found Nicole at her office. Why couldnt nicole sign herself out of the hospital system? That scene was so weird bc I thought she would have mentioned the email and then clocked that Kat set her up

  • Getting a bit jealous, Hayley? My oh my, how the tables have quickly turned.
  • Tyrell! Baby! Who hit you and why?! Although, Mike Manning, your line delivery on "son!" was piss poor. Do better.
  • Online gambling? Damn, Douglas. Can't even take two minutes away to have dinner with your wife?
  • Dana versus Ted is going to be juicy; however, closed captions spell it "Anna" but they're pronouncing it as "Ana". C'mon now. Fix that mess. "Anna" is (Anne-Ah), while "Ana" is (Ahh-Nuh).
  • Abortion, huh? So we're doing this to Ted this early? And you know Dana won't sell it as that. She will neglect to say she told him she did not have the abortion.
  • She's going to extort the money from Ted and still blow up his life. She's mentally unhinged, and I don't see it being rectified any time soon.
  • Good on you for putting two and two together, Hayley. She's seeing the problems. Well, hopefully she's seeing the problems.
  • Katherine tripping out on Eva versus Chelsea by name shows she's nerved up. Which is understandable.
  • You can tell, even though he was forced into the role of homemaker, Bradley loves his kids and has the memory of someone who has loved raising his children.
  • Defence narrative? And not a defence argument? Interesting choice of words for Hayley. It appears as if she's already not buying the sweet talk that Bill continues to sell to the women in his life.
  • Martin is so distant with his children. It's laughable. The deadbeat continues to be a deadbeat, and I love how much Samantha is protecting Tyrell. That's the twin/sibling connection.
  • So, we're establishing the friendship between Nicole and Vanessa now. I can sense that. But I love that she called out Douglas being M.I.A. from the hospital in her own special way.
  • Oh well, hello Joey. You sure are making more and more appearances and making your presence known, aren't you? And he is a smooth-ass talker.
  • Nicole and Ted are going to impode; I'm calling it. I absolutely am.
  • Oh snap, well, Eva saw the spycam, but it's far too late. She's been caught.
  • Joey is ruthlessly relentless, and I love that. He doesn't care about the emotion. He wants the endgame goal. That is boss.
  • A photo? Is it some kind of revenge p*rn type of photo? Or just a general one?
  • Eva is playing her own game, and I love it.

Oh, next week is looking juicier than ever! The games and gaming, and the plots are plotting.

    • I don't think Chelsea has a true label just yet. She's just finding out she has an interest in women. I think the awkwardness is aligned with the character as we've seen. This is the fool who keeps filming her family when embarrassing things happen and live streaming it. I actually think it's refreshing she isn't just jumping into a relationship  and that they're playing the beats of her trying to figure out who she is.
    • Wow, do I agree with you. Chelsea is coming off as ridiculous. All she does is look for a woman to date while not caring about her business at all. That she's bi is great, but they're not writing her like she's bi. She seems to be lesbian. Yeah, I know -- "no labels." I just don't find the writing for her story to be anything other than awkward.   -- I hope we get some diagnosis finality with Bill's trip to the hospital. I don't want to see these trips to the ER every other day. -- Naomi is going to blame herself for Bill's health problems? GMAB. -- Ashley doesn't read as a real nurse in the slightest. -- Another day, another rinse and repeat conversation with Derek and Ashley. YAWN. -- Kat is making mistakes, but she's fun to watch and listen to, regardless. -- I still think the Joey/Vanessa/Doug gambling story sucks. I know Doug is deeply in debt, but I don't like him acting this meek and submissive.  -- I'm not sure what Joey's plan was from the beginning, or why he had to seduce Vanessa at all to get his way. I'm not sure what Vanessa ever saw in Joey -- why doesn't he give her the ick? -- I'm fine with a story where Doug and Vanessa take out Joey.  -- The fades to commercials were pretty bad today.
    •   Victoria's house (that she long ago lived in with Billy) burned down (I think Aunt Jordan set it ablaze?). Victoria briefly moved into the ranch after the fire, with Claire, Johnny and Katie, I think? Mariah and Tessa and baby Aria had been living in the tack house but they bought a house we've never seen and moved there. Victoria, Claire, and Cole then moved into the tack house as soon as Teriah left. I guess Victoria's children Johnny and Katie would live with Victoria at the tack house eventually? But Johnny and Katie went to boarding school during the school year. Not sure if we'll see Johnny and Katie for the summer vacation or where they would live.
    • Victoria’s previous house burned down.    And I know why characters frequent Crimson Lights 3 times a day for brownies, muffins and empty mugs:   THERE’S PCP IN EVERYTHING.
    • Today was a good episode, and the week for that matter. I think they've also done a better job with background music. The scenes in todays episode weren't as silent as they usually are in the background and it was noticeable. I think the show has found its groove well and I'm still invested.
    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
