See? This was much better. But of course, that had to do with the Damian storyline and all it's moving parts.

 

Let me start with...my trivial...cuz Sean and that bubble...LOL!!! But I've been loving Nate and Damian bonding. I also love how Damian is slowly starting to be included in Devon and Lily's orbit. I also like that they mentioned that Amy and the specialist have tried to get ahold of Nate so they are flying out. However, that was getting me annoyed because it feels like JG is zigzagging with the storyline again. Lest, we forget we got the plot thread of Damian's boss now. And with Nate and Damian out of town, I don't expect JG to follow them...unless he shocks me. He stays fumbling this storyline, and it's the best current one going on.

 

Okay...Holden...stop coming across stalker-y with Audra. lol. But I loved their scenes. And that Devon and Lily picking up on the vibe between them. So Audra's secret is still ticking along, waiting to blow up her relationship.

 

I really did like the Summer/Kyle/Claire stuff. I am glad that Claire is not being written completely stupid and is picking up on what Summer is doing. And AL is playing Vixen Summer to the hilt. My favorite moment...when Claire enters Crimson Lights and sees Kyle with Summer. Claire squeezes her way slightly between them and Summer does this little turn. While Kyle and Claire can't see her face, the audience can see Summer's face, and it was hilarious. This feels like it's getting steam. So...ladies...let the claws out.

 

I also enjoyed seeing Victor briefly. 

 

It's funny to think that outside of the above (and of course the forthcoming Tracy story), there's nothing going on. Well, nothing I'm interested in.

Oh yeah, THE movie to start off a new horror subgenre. 

 

I was watching DAYs during JG's run (left right before the rape) so I was thrilled to see Tobin Bell and was in the minority with another John's past rewrite. TBF, that was well-done IMO because it at least tied the other parts of John's backstory together from what I remembered. 

 

I heard about the new John rewrite. I didn't hate that. And good to see that that seem like it also dealt with the other parts of his backstory, too.

So which blonde will Daniel do first? Sharon or Tessa? MG was oozing chemistry with both. 

Could CF new hair color signal a Tessiah relationship fracture? It's overdue. No reason why either Tessa or Mariah can't stray like every other married couple in Y&R history. CG should be onscreen more anyway. She's way too good to be the sidelines.

I do like Y&R's unexpected late drop-ins - the two Tessa/Daniel scenes actually were meaningful.

And what was I just saying? lol. With Damian (and his storyline) out of town, the focus was on Tracy. At least for me. lol.

 

Adam + Chelesa = FF. And sadly, they were most of the episode.

 

Meanwhile...le sigh at Snick. I was happy that Nick and Sharon finally sat down to talk about the elephant in the room. And also...annoyed. JG must really get off on toying with Nick and Sharon getting back together. And it appears like they will. And then...an abrupt turn. And that scene was it. But given something I read recently, I was wondering how this would come about. So I'll give it credit that they had a talk onscreen. Still...le sigh. 

 

Now...back to Tracy. Lol. I loved seeing her sooooo happy and excited. And her talking to Jack and Diane (SW, you have been looking fine as sin with the longer hair!). But to see her slowly start to get suspicious was interesting to watch. And then Kyle came in and revealed what happened with Sharon and Phyllis, and watching Tracy put 2 and 2 together and start to get 4 was heartbreaking. But it made a good cliffhanger for sure. 

Well, Daniel has continued to have scenes with Tessa so I could see it. Sharon and Daniel...maybe for hate sex or just to see Phyllis's head explode.

@Taoboi is there a good place I can pick back up at? The SAW and the Restless story had me tap out for a good week and a half but after returning to the show today with the story  behind us I feel a bit lost, and I thought I had read most of the recaps.

Do spare me any of Quad From Hell scenes though

Oh, lord...that feels like such a loaded question. lol. 

 

I would say this past week. Just expect to use your FF finger. lol. When the story wasn't on Damian (which was Tuesday), it was on Tracy at least (Monday, Wednesday). And I liked all the stuff with Summer/Kyle/Claire that was hmmm barely B plot, but there and interesting. But last week was decent with fallout since the SAW storyline...well the main part of it...ended rushed on Friday 3-14.

 

Quad From Hell? If Adam and Chelesa are part of that Quad...uhhh well...FF finger be ready. Cuz Wednesday was A LOT.

But I do definitely want to go back to watch some of the fallout as well as the Traci scenes and anything Damian related too.

Also disappointed in the lack of starting something towards a Shick reunion, like what gives??

And yes lol, Quad from Hell. I know  I’ve called at least 2-3 Y&R quads that before as well lol but currently that title goes to Adam/Chelsea/Billy/Sally. Ugh. Billy is a black hole unless Sally can keep him on a chain like Lily did. And the only time I’ve ever found Adam & Chelsea engaging, entertaining etc. was when Hartley was in the role of Adam. I like Grossman & MCE separately but they never had chemistry together especially after all that excruciating crap JG wrote for them back in 2020-21. And Chelsea has been irrelevant for years now.
 

I’m still sure it will only be a matter of time before this Quad swaps partners in bed again, with Billy left screaming at midnight in Chancellor Park once more.

I really enjoyed the Shick scene this past week, but as usual JG pull the football away a la Lucy Charlie Brown. 

 

And I have not liked that he pushed the Damian storyline which was The A storyline for a while VERY forceful into C plot territory...especially since JG has one more card to play in it. But that has been what has been irking me...JG keeps messing with the momentum of it. I don't know if you read when I explained what happened in the Damian story for anyone not watching regularly, but reading it...it sounds like a great plot. But how JG keeps moving haphazardly with it keeps messing up the storyline. We should be seeing more of Nate and Damian bonding, more Audra's attempts to keep her history with Holden who is getting stalker-y, AND Amy at the clinic. But NOPE. JG took busy focusing on Billy, Adam/Chels, and the Giggly Heffa who is surely strike at Billy/Sally at some point. And outside of Sally, I don't care about anyone in that.

 

But yeah...if you want fallout...start from last Monday.  

 

You are not far off on swap partners from what I've read. Just...wrong partners.

@Taoboi Yeah, the inconsistency with the Damian/Amy/Nate/Audra/Holden crew has been frustrating. I do think some of it has been a bit unexpected for the show - like VP as Amy really clicked  - I doubt she was intended as more than a short stint. They probably didn't anticipate Amy/Audra connecting so effortlessly. It's made Audra far more interesting.

I do think they were also waiting to cast Aristotle Dumas before it becomes a true A story. You know this is going to be major with TGVM involved. Plus the revelation that Sally has an LA connection, that he's the one Billy was talking to in Paris, etc. Holden giving Claire her first proper martini was a complete surprise. 

I'm optimistic that this will be a real umbrella story starting in May. I wouldn't be surprised if Diane has a Dumas LA connection either.

Very. And I agree. Even with the haphazardness of it, it has threads to it that I have loved that was unexpected like you mentioned. And even better, it is still growing and giving more story to mind. If played right.

 

As for Dumas...I wished JG had left it as is with the reveal that Damian appeared to own all the companies...already putting him in Tucker's old spot...which who his boss will be will clearly be in. It was a nice change to see a powerful, cunning black man. Made it more mysterious and something refreshing for the Winters to deal with. Especially with Damian's attraction to Lily. And...I was looking forward to Damian vs Victor perhaps down the road. And while I still love Victor's involvement being very slight, I don't feel it will hit the same now.

 

I totally forgot about Billy's phone call. Another thread if it is connected to Dumas. 

 

To be clear...loving the story. It really and truly is THE best current story, but the pacing is where I do get annoyed.

Oh [!@#$%^&*] the Abbott’s finding out about the alerts and then Kyle dropping the clinic detail!!

Really enjoyed the Shick scene but I’ve always said JM and SC are each others best scene partners. I despise how much sh.it the writers have had Nick and Sharon do to each other. I liked the acknowledgement of that stuff too. I’d love to see them get a fair chance after Nick being her knight in shining armor so much the past year. But with the writers of this show, they’d have Nick sleep with Phyllis or Sally again a month in.

The Traci and Alan story is moving too quickly. I think this should play for a few months, not a couple weeks.

Why not have them marry and allow Alan to create even more chaos?
