I get that, but I've never heard of a white person being called Smitty and Smith is a very common last name so I feel like I would've heard that at some point. I've only heard that nickname associated with Black people.

Age is also, realistically, a non-point in daytime television. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Suspension of belief is needed, honestly. And per the casting breakdown, the children (then-twins) were adopted seven years ago, so after today's episode, one was adopted at nine and one was adopted at ten.

Honestly, the casting breakdown name of "Daniel" is what should have been kept. Perhaps "Smitty" came from his formal journalism career?

Totally understand but let's keep in mind he is married to a Black man and has Black children, or mixed race depending on where they are going with the story, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's where "Smitty" is primarily used/referenced. We'll see how he's referred when he interacts with non-Dupree-related individuals like people from work.

Yes, she is. When I saw her she kinda reminded me of Tamara Clatterbuck from The Youn and the Restless in terms of looks.

He gives me JR Ewing with the levity he has in his scenes. With Haley I feel like she's naive but Bill knows he's a jerk and just doesn't care. I love that! Much like with JR, I imagine it's going to make his enemies hate him even more which is going to be gold for us.
