Dimitri/Leo were super offensive and disgusting to Gwen.   Gross.

I can't believe Ron ruined one of the most stable, interesting marriages that ever came from Salem to humiliate Nancy and have Craig come out for it to amount to nothing?  If there was a point anywhere in that story I would like to know.

I honestly think that humiliating Nancy and Gwen as much as possible was the biggest reasons for both of those messes, and then you had Jamey just making everything ten times worse.

I will never get over the naturally aging, plus size woman with the devoted husband was being lied to for decades.  It's absolutely disgusting.  Craig's "hotter" in looks, but that was just so unnecessary and offensive.  Of course it was too good to be true.  And then they pair her with Clyde.  Although I think she's still dating Mike?  That was unclear when she returned with Joy.

I feel like Gwen at least got a bit of an FU to both of them in the end.

Spoiler

Although it looked like EOB was in the Day of Days clip so I guess she will be back as Gwen at some point.

The cruelty and humiliation of it all was what I hated more than anything.

That's why I'm worried about

Spoiler

Gwen's return; that she'll forgive Leo 🤮 which I think would just humiliate her even more

Oh, oh, I know this answer! There are IRL men who do not come to an understanding of their true sexuality until late in life. Meanwhile they marry women & have families. This was a grossly under-represented sub-group of an also under-represented group. These guys loved this story. The problem is they used the wrong couple!

I think Ron and Jamey's 'love' for soaps comes from watching in the 80's and thinking that soaps are all about shocking twists involving evil twins, split personalities, brainwashing/amnesia and various other done to death stories that can keep things popping rather than well written characters whose motivations and actions keep things moving.

Not interested or caring much about how these shows came to be or what kept viewers tuning in.

Before Leah Laiman and James Reilly, Bill Bell  and Pat Falken Smith wrote Days for years and established those shows and I doubt Ron and Jamey would know much about them.

Gosh, there were so many GOOD writers back then. Ron’s gone and Jamey probably wants the Headwriter position. Shudder!
I wish Days has a storyline worth watching. Ron checked out.

I skipped all of last week (02/10-02/14) and just watched Wednesday of this past week. It's been about 17 years since I full-on skipped a week of Days. It doesn't feel like I missed anything.

Erm, I guess I like any Julie scenes at the moment so there's that.

I just dropped a whole month of episodes. I watched Feb. 6 because of SSH. This is new to me.

Don't forget Shari Anderson, who wrote BITD & again during the strike.

The fact that they still deal with her very realistic grief is the only plus I can give to the show right now.

Yup, plus her scenes with Chad and Doug 3 are really good.

Just watched Friday's episode.

Marlena: Tate and Sophia aren't ready to be parents but you and Chanel are.

It's a great idea!

Silly Marlena😂😂😂😂

Not much, if anything, is happening these days. I wonder if it was because of Carlivati last month, just giving us filler episodes.

I love how Marlena is giving horrible advice. Are we sure she's not possessed by the Devil again as a last hurrah from Ron?

How are Johnny and Chanel ready to be parents?  Johnny doesn't even have a job!
