Late to this party, but we all know Ava has always had Jerome money. This Cassidine divorce settlement money would have only been gravy. I hate it when they make Ava meek and groveling.

Exactly!!!! And, we can't un-know it! GH at this point needs that forgetting pill that they used on TORCHWOOD but they're going to need a lot of them & I'm suspect of their delivery method for so many fans!!

I admittedly had GH on in the background yesterday while doing something else but I am confused as to why Sonny needs to leave the business now.   One Dr. told him his heart was bad at the Gym.  I know most people want Sonny to croak here, but shouldn't he go to the hospital and get some tests done, some medicine, a second opinion before just handing the business over?  There have been about a million other better reasons for Sonny to leave the mob and he didn't so I am a bit confused at his line of thinking here.

I only just watched now, but I think the logic was about getting a succession plan in place just in case Sonny suddenly croaks it for any reason. They mentioned Nixon Falls and all the drama that happened then with Carly and Jason having been unprepared to take over - Sonny doesn't want that sort of situation to happen again.

Many of us love Ava but the Ava we love is NOT desperate. I have to admit Alexis saying that she couldn't afford her & slamming the door in her face, was really funny. But that one moment was the exception. For Ava to basically be making the rounds, begging Laura, trying to get Alexis' attention & mostly all Ava has been doing for days is too pitiful to be our Ava. No, please no.

Thanks!  I am assuming you are explaining it better than the show did.  That makes more sense.  It seems like Sonny should have thought of it early or at least when Jason most recently "died", but I suppose this is some way to get Kristina into the business.  It is strange because I actually have wanted that for years.  With the way Kristina has been acting, though, I find it almost unbelievable she could ever be effective in that type of environment.

Same lol. But I think Kristina has been a flake for over a decade.

I agree. he didn't do what the danged show did, which was basically to make Sonny look foolish. Who having chest pains refuses to see any doctor because they say they cannot afford to look weak. Hey, you, idiot, what you can't afford is to die because you are busy keeping up appearances.

About Kristina, I too have had my doubts. But, now, I'm beginning to see a glimmer of hope & interest in being alive again.

Kristina has always been flakey IMO too.  I just think now she's too emotionally volatile to be taken seriously, has no street smarts, no idea what the business entails because she's been mostly shielded from it, and no work experience to indicate she'd be good in the business.  She was hysterical over the fact that Sonny beat up Dex.

If the show wanted to go this route with Kristina they should have started it immediately with the recast and skipped the entire baby story.

Perhaps I am reading too much into things.  Maybe it is to manipulate Jason to take over again.

I expect Sonny to try that maybe Monday by trying to get Carly to get Jason to do what Sonny wants Jason to do. I also expect that Carly is gonna tell him to stop being stupid & head over to GH. She's not usually a MamaBear to Sonny but with him maybe dying & all, she's gonna make an exception, just this once.

Agreed. It would take a serious effort to make me take Kristina seriously in the business.

Absolutely, especially when hints and speckles were dropped when Lexi Ainsworth was making her then-unknown final appearances in the role, opposite Eden McCoy's Josslyn, etc.

Yeah, I hate poor and needy and desperate Ava. I hate it in general when soaps suddenly make a wealthy person poor. In most cases, they eventually end up as rich as they once were. The "Ava is broke" story doesn't even make sense.

I agree that it's a REAL stretch to see Kristina as a mob boss. But let's not pretend GH is real when it comes to business. I'm thinking of Jason walking around that "coffee warehouse" with his clipboard -- apparently counting the number of bags on the pallets. I mean, really?

If I recall correctly Burton HATED that. And you can't blame him. It basically screamed Luddite. Any day I expected to see him pull out an abacus.

Hold up, so is Valentin supposed to be the big evil villian in this fight vs Lulu? Because I watched and saw a father that loves his daughter, allowed her to see Lulu, despite it being a risk to them. He defended Lulu when he could have thrown her under the bus and trashed her to Charlotte and he gave her agency to leave and be with Lulu, but she chose not too. Meanwhile Lulu is coming across as a selfish shrew that abandoned her son and doesn't care about the danger she is imposing on her daughter. Valentin came across rational and fair. Is that consistent with how he's been in terms of Charlotte and Lulu? Lulu is convinced he's poisoning her against her but thats not the case

I don’t think that Kristina can run the mob on her own, but she can do it with Jason’s help. I think that Sonny will let Kristina have all of his legitimate businesses and give all of his illegal stuff to Jason.

At least Jason came into the mob cold and emotionless.  He just did what he was told.  No way Kristina would do that.

Yeah, I think Jason could at least invest in a computer and a better inventory system for the coffee warehouse lol.  Maybe an employee or two?
