That was a classy statement to put up under the circumstances. My neighborhood back in LA isn't burning yet and hopefully it won't be by the time I get back this weekend.

Clearly, Eden McCoy isn't one of those actors who can spin sugar from...well, you know. I don't think her grief scenes at reading at all. Maybe the writing is weak, but so is the acting.

I agree that we all grieve differently, but whatever EM is doing doesn't work on screen, at least not for me.

Drop the last 4 words of your question, then we've got a good puzzle.

That was such an unnecessary broadcast interruption especially after they had already delayed the episode

Willow and Drew sleeping together while Michael was burning up was a hilarious editing choice I was surprised they didn’t have Michael burned in the face more. Of course Jason swooped in and saved him. Laura Wright is already killing it with Carly’s reaction and Van Hansis did some decent work as well.

Josslyn’s fascination with Dex’s gun was interesting lol, I like that Brennan immediately went to go get her for Carly.

Brook Lynn confirmed she’s had a child to Lois AS and RS did good work there. I feel like the combo of her not being able to conceive with Chase so far and his scenes with Sasha are meant to setup Chase and Brook Lynn eventually adopting Sasha and Michael’s baby

I continue to enjoy Nina and Curtis scenes together btw, her calling Drew to tell Willow about Michael was funny.

Looking forward to Josslyn reading Willow the riot act tomorrow

The Michael/Willow scenes were obviously the big story today and I am sure everyone has a ton of comments I agree with.

Is anyone else disturbed Lois kept this baby secret of Brook Lynn's so long?  That seems so out of character for her.   Rena's return has been such a disappointment.   Also, Brook you are 20 years older than you were in high school and in your mid 30's.  Babies aren't as easy to come by as the years go on lol.  It's been like 3 months.

Wow. It sounds like it's going to be a whole A$$ mess once I get ahold of the episode without pre-empts. Lord...

Same. Carly's about to be on the loose again.  But THIS TIME...I'll be here for it.

Oh so it truly begins. smh.

Given how Lois has been shown since her return in town, yeeeah that is pretty damning (for lack of a better word) given how she blew up Sonny/Nina for what Nina did which was not at all illegal. She's been about truth the whole time so...disappointing for sure.

I have liked Lois's return...until it wasn't. It started strong and I still feel that her return is the only return that is second to Lulu's return. Because otherwise, hers would be Number 1 with me because it was not fumbled at all and seem plausible unlike Jason's and Lucky's where they were separated from the people they should have been around or didn't get the depth it could have been in their returns. I take that back. lol. I would say 1) Lulu 2) Ric and then 3) Lois in terms of good returns. It's just a shame that, just like Nina, Lois has become an afterthought in stories that I feel she could be a part of to some extent.

Lois would have taken that pregnancy and made BLQ face it head on.  She hates lying, she hates secrets, and does what is right.  That has always been the core of Lois's character.  She has strong integrity.  I really side eyed the accent thing, but this is unbelievable.   She would have supported Brook Lynn in her choices, but never would have agreed to deceive people about it especially since I assume the child is Dante's.

I am going to assume GH chose to have a modicum of taste in this area and also wanted to let Chad play out his last scenes.  You could still recast and make plastic surgery believable.

You're so right about this. None of it fits for what we know about Lois.

Well, yeah, if they're going to turn Lois into someone we don't even recognize, there's no big deal to write plastic surgery into a storyline.

I just saw a panicked Jason Morgan. Heard panic in his voice & saw it on his face & in his eyes. I'm quite sure I've never seen Jason like that, before today.

Carly, of course, is falling apart. With her eyes filled to the brim with tears.

Lucas, was looking at the face of the EMT while she rattled off the patient info, ending in, intubated as a precaution, so Michael will not be able to speak, and then Lucas looked down, finally, only to be horrified that it was his nephew, Michael, And they say 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body.

Nina called, Drew answered, gave Nina a hard time, she insisted he give the phone to Willow, who she told about Michael, in the hospital & strongly suggested Willow get Wiley & come home immediately.

Yeah, I don't see how they can even make it work. Well, I have more faith in Elizabeth Korte to plot her episodes to explain this character assassination than Chris Van Etten, but I agree. It would have to be a doozy other than BLQ was too young.

When this storyline started at being hinted at, I could not see how it could even be made to work given Lois's character. Then I thought perhaps BLQ blacked it out. Then I thought perhaps Lois did not know. But it sounds like they both know (it's preempted here so I will wait later to see the scenes) and my mind cannot wrap itself around it because like you...it does not ring true. Just like the accent storyline. You had the right to side-eye.

Lois is too proud of who she is and where she came from to be hung up on her accent. Especially with those nails.

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
