I always wondered how'd she be if Kay Alden and the Bell writers never got fired. 

MAB aged her up and did the whole naked heiress stuff, then JFP came on and we got 10 years of Ordway

I just watched 11/14 Friday episode posted on Youtube tonight and wondered if Ed Scott was going to have sway over getting rid of Jill Farren Phelps hired actors including Melissa who, bless her heart, has never been good on the show as Abby.  Over the years, I've been amazed on several shows how poor the casting has been for the grown children of legacy characters such as Abby on Y&R.  Michael (Chad D) on GH and others.  Now, get rid of the horrible non-actor playing Chance.

The writing was on the wall once they put her and Devon together for real. Swirl security only works one way and it ain’t favorable to the black male/white female pairings.

For as long as MO has been on the show I can count on one hand the amount of stories and pairings that actually sold and they were all short lived. Its insane when you realize how regime after regime has tried to make Abby work as a leading romantic character only for it to inevitably fail every single time.

I can’t even blame MO 100% because Rylan and Hayley Erin stunk in the role too. Honestly the only Abby I actually liked was Darcy Rose Byrnes.

Hopefully she books a good gig and leaves the show for good

I think if anything Victor and Ashley should’ve been given a kid back during their early 90’s marriage, but also allow John Abbott III to live as well just to complicate their feud even more.

For starters Abby has never been given anything significant to do. To quote my post from last month in Y&R’s October Discussion thread:

When I saw the topic I guessed MO.

There was no story for her marrying Dulvon. So now she will join Mariah, Lauren etc as a talk to and turn up at various events.

Devon can be in work/family related stuff that Abby doesn't have to be a part of.

Another character that was SORASED too soon.

I’m no fan of her Abby but I still feel bad. At least she always seems to show a lot of enthusiasm about the show and the fact that says she grew up watching it.
