The announcements were made so long ago I forgot we'd be getting Stephen Schnetzer and Gloria Loring. 

Even with this tragedy it still makes me happy to see Stephen again. 

I'm glad they remembered the feud between Marie and Liz, even if Marie was the wonderful Lanna Saunders at the time.

Susan Seaforth Hayes on filming Doug's death

That piece of music, which Seaforth Hayes performed at the soap’s recent Day of Days event with her personal assistant, Amy Shaughnessy, and Hall, is the classic “Always (I’ll Be Loving You).” “It’s significant for the show,” notes the actress. “And it’s significant for Doug and Julie.”
