Are sweeps even still a thing?

Regardless of the change in tv models, advertisers still advertise so yes. ;)

But seriously, we are about to a remodel and a wedding with some returns on this show, a death and an awakening on GH at the least and Idk what DAYS is planning or B&B will do anything so I expect some story explosions.

A big shock at the wedding? We'll see...

So great to see Jess/Jill. She seems stoked to be there. Hopefully more Jill to come.

And everyone looked good. Costuming is already improving.

Ed Scott is credited on Monday. Watched the Global episode. Everyone was appropriately dressed for the season. Not a one shoulder or backless dress to be seen. Although Sharon is wearing a fugly mini dress.

We saw CL, GCAC and Society of course but the director kept the shots tight so we didn't see the empty tables and used the extras in the shot to give an impression that it was busy.

And there was a bedroom set!

No to Billy/Sally. Wish Josh would stop the musical couples.

Sally has now been with Jack, Adam,Nick and Billy.

Billy with Victoria, Chelsea, Lily and now Sally.

It's like Josh just picks names out of a hat, writes these couples as truly in love then breaks them up and moves on.

Yep, Monday's US episode is Ed's first episode back in the credits, and though not a huge overnight change for the common viewer who don't notice a lot of things, it was definitely 'different' and probably a sign of things to come production-wise.

I also noticed Michelle Stafford's acting was more understated (for her standards these days at least) than she normally is. She mentioned how Ed likes to rush out from the booth and on to the set to give the actors feedback, and she certainly needs that...

Griffith's stories are still like the flattest bottle of soda you'll ever taste though...

That 13,000 episode promo truly captures the glamour and opulence that used to be a hallmark of Y&R. Everyone was dressed perfectly.

And, gosh, if JW didn't look fantastic! I will credit Y&R for keeping vets like JW, ED and BM around in some capacity.

Thrilled to see more of the Newman Ranch. It's about time. Just like I never get sick of seeing the Abbott living room, that iconic set should've never been retired.

There's only one shock that would matter for Devon/Abby's wedding: it'd involve an Emmy winner returning, which I know everyone would love to see.

The set looks wonderful. They really did do a solid job in reconstructing, and looks like it films wonderfully.

The show got a new wardrobe designer! The new clothes debut Tuesday I believe she said on Instagram. :)

Already, camera shots are more in a Bell-style, which is a good thing.

Any chance Damien is gay and secretly married to P.3? I'm trying to figure out how a new male character older than Nate fits into the show.

Maybe Damien is the doctor who's been treating Hillary and Dru in secret!!

Perhaps the show really wanted a specific name actor on the show and they had to give him some connections to the canvas?

Someone older than Nate could have some teenaged kids right?

I would love to see Hilary return with Damien. But in my mind Dru returns as an amnesiac homeless woman and Victoria Rowell is given a chance to act the way she can.

I’d love to see her run in holding a baby, Tina Lord-style, just after the “I Do”s.

We probably won’t get the classic music back, but the use of music in tomorrow’s US episode is quite different from what we’ve been getting and much more in-line with the way Y&R used to use music. Particularly in some scenes with Nate/Amy, and Phyllis/Summer. I think this is naturally some of Ed Scott’s initial influence. Sally McDonald also directed, so there’s naturally a vintage Y&R flair.

The GCAC scenes with Billy/Lily also looked “busier” and less “empty” than they usually have recently.

Maybe it's just in my head and the shows always done this, the opening started like behind the bottles at the back at the bar and I thought that was different.
