Not a fan of Melody's outfit in that pic.

A new costume designer, Praise the Lord. Hopefully, the skin tight, one shoulder dresses worn by most of the female cast are consigned to the dumpster.

They need character specific, age appropriate and classy looking clothes for the cast.

Now we need the sets to be revamped and better music.

And a new headwriter.

A new costume designer is needed. Whoever is doing it now thinks "rich" people wear tacky sequins and slinky gowns everywhere including work (which is conducted in a coffeehouse). These clothes are probably expensive, but look cheap.

The best dressed are actually Diane and Chelsea and I think it's because they aren't supposed to have as much money (at least when Diane first came to town) so they wear very basic good quality things.

I guess Ed isn’t wasting time making some changes, MTS said on the red carpet of the 13k episode celebration that they have a new costume designer, who she calls “amazing.”

David Zyla was the customer designer over the past few years.

Does not surprise me; the past few years have been painful in terms of costume for the actors. And I love how respectful photographers are being with her, too. That's rare in today's society.

Fück all of that; they need to be SEASON specific.

Not gonna happen.

Thrilled about the news. Not expecting miracles, of course. I think the best we can hope for is a show that, at least production-wise, is more cohesive. Better directing, nicer lighting, some improvements in costuming and design -- Scott is an experienced producer that can make it look better and was around for much of the classic years with excellent production.

I agree.

With Steve Williford moving over to Beyond The Gates, he’s probably going to have to take a look at that directing team to ensure Sally McDonaod and Owen Renfroe don’t carry all the burden.

Unless he's doing both, possible?!

Joshua Morrow talks about Ed’s return at the 1:13  mark - he says Ed cares so much about the quality of the show and his attention to detail about things like lighting and giving feedback to the actors.

Which probably the other producers have not bothered with.

It was hilarious when he said “we need that!” - seems like there has been a lack of oversight for a long time there and Scott was hired to fill that void.

No way - a daytime producer that cares about lighting?! If I live to see the day....

I laughed when he said it. Morrow really means it.

That’s crazy to hear on a soap that used to be head and shoulders above other soaps and even some primetime series regarding production. A precipitous decline.

Also, they just don’t have the budget anymore to be as future forward as they used to be. It’s all about working quickly and cheaply now - I assume Scott was brought back to make those edges less “rough” as they needed someone with a particular skillset to do that.
