The funny thing is, I looked it up, Stephanie was SORASed to her current age, 18 years ago.

Shayna Rose played her in 2006, and Shelly Hennig in 2007.

So, she is one of those characters that aged once, and then stayed the same for two decades. She's either far too youthful to have a kid, or she's premenopausal. Who can tell?

Yeah it's weird.  None of their kids have been on the canvas consecutively long enough to amass the large amount of offspring and grandkids John/Marlena have.  Even Bo/Hope and Jack/Jen have grandkids though.

I also think the fact Patch/Kayla were gone so long off the show it stunted their importance.  If MBE and SN stayed in the 90's S/K probably would have had more kids earlier and Stephanie would have been aged sooner.   Belle and Brady are both younger than Stephanie by actual birth year on the show.

I don't want to be a downer because I don't hate Kayla/Steve, but none of the stories they've had since their return in the 2000's have been very good or memorable.  I think the couple sort of missed their window of importance.  I am not advocating for them to leave or anything, but they feel very second tier to me compared to Bo/Hope or John/Marlena.

I mean, that's natural.  Stephanie is an adult woman.  I spend more time with my significant other than my parents.  Stephanie even moved in with Stayla on and off.  I never considered her isolated-just in a stupid story.  Agree to disagree.  The lack of Johnson family scenes had no affect on the stupid Chad/Stephanie/Alex story.  Stephanie could probably use a few more friends more than she needs to sit at the Pub and talk to Kayla about her love life for the 100th time.

I’m up to Wednesday and I have to say thank god it feels like the walls are starting to close in on Connie. Of course Rafe’s unnecessary ass wakes up right as Jaida is about to open the door to the room Melinda was in

It’s hilarious to see Stefan so mad about a brother sleeping with his wife when what he did to Abby was far worse.

The lack of body and soul has been wonderful.

Fiona wears me out constantly admitting her damn crimes out loud.

It feels like the only research Fake Abby did was her name.

I don't think she was even aged much. She was born in 1990 and came back in 2006 as a late teen/young adult -- I think she was supposed to be, like, a 17-year-old race car driver and then she went to college at Salem U in 2007-08. She's basically the exact right age she should be now, but we just missed so much of her life and they kind of kept her in stasis between 2011-2022 other than establishing that she lived in Seattle and then adding Everett to her backstory. But she kind of nets out age-wise. Same with Abigail, actually.

Sophia, you little schemer.

I would’ve written her scenes today the same way. Holly and Tate are both vulnerable right now and that would be the perfect time for her to manipulate the situation. And I’m here for it. This is the way she should be written. A schemer and villain and not an obsessed psychopath. I still think we need to know more about her though. And maybe Tate should have been written as a little stupider and messier, that way Sophia’s manipulation was more understandable but I’m looking forward to see where this is going to go.

I enjoyed the Holly/EJ scene too. Idk if EJ was lying to Holly about Nicole wanting to keep the truth about Eric from her, but I wouldn’t mind it if he was. EJ works better as an actual villain, like he was today if it turns out that he was lying, and not some bumbling fool who’s just trying to upstage Stefan. Holly feeling like Nicole always put Eric ahead of her could also be really interesting as well. Btw, does Holly know that Brady has her father’s heart?

Xander and Fiona did really well today, and it’s a little sad that this storyline was rushed. We should’ve have seen a lot more of the history between the two of then, and them rebuilding their relationship before we got Sarah’s accident. But I’m still enjoying this storyline.

As for Kristen, maybe it’s time to send her packing.

    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
