Why do writers and EPs think watching characters play poker is mildly interesting?

How boring!

It is boring, but I was stunned at the number of extras there, as well as at Bobbie's. I can't believe they have the budget for this.

The other shows have forced us to think only the characters on the shows live in these towns and places because they refuse to pay for more than 2 extras at a time. GH also has significantly more sets than everyone else.

Agreed. The budget at GH has to be significantly higher than on any other soap. Y&R is particularly embarrassing in the sets and extras dept.

Jason only has trips and he goes all in with a possible straight, flush, or straight flush on the table?  What an idiot! LOL  If he wanted to go all in, he should've done that before the last card was dealt because he had the highest hand.

Ahh yes the storyline that made me stop watching GH for a decade. Sonny breaks out of prison where he’s serving time for cold blooded murder but it’s forgiven cause he saved a life while he was illegally out. STUPID.

That was one of my break periods too. I was so mad about AJ, and the show had morphed into an ensemble, and then it was back to all about Sonny again. Because Mo complained.

Man when RC backburnered Sonny and the mob, I was sooo happy. Like you said it was an ensemble show. Of course it didn’t last.

Onto today. Rick Hearst plays Ric’s undying love so well and earnestly. It’s not just the words he’s saying, it’s also the way Ric looks at Liz in a way he never looks at anyone else. You can truly tell she’s his great love. I do wonder if we will get an actual triangle between Liz/Ric/Lucky.

Nice seeing some of the teens this week. When I first started back watching there were a lot of them onscreen which I didn’t mind and then they vanished.

When Jordan left Bobbie's Diner with the to-go bag, the bag said "Kelly's" on it. When she walked into Dr. Gannon's hospital room with the food, the bag then had been corrected to say "Bobbie's" on it. LOL

Wonder why they would even still have any prop bags around that said Kelly's since the name change.

Ric's return is the best thing the show has going for it right now.

Anna and Jason have zero chemistry. Their adventure is boring as hell. Some genuine humor or suspense would help. It all just seems so lifeless; where's the energy?

Since Liz isn’t interested in romance with Ric, does that mean she anticipates the return of Lucky?

A variation of this happened recently, no?

Yep. It would seem.

Am I mean and problematic to think that sometimes Mo is using his personal issues to get his way on the show?

Mo always complains and the show has to do what he wants, so that he doesn't get worse with his problems.

And what kind of problems are these they have to do with soap opera story?

No Someone at ABC/Disney needs to call his bluff and say Mo you have a contract that says you act you do not write or produce. If you dont like it, we can write you out
