Oh, I was talking about THIS. Playing catch up on last week and I hollered during the Chance vs Billy scenes when Chance not only called Jill behind Billy's back, but reminded him Chancellor was HIS name and ON the building thus reminding Billy of HIS birthright.

I thought of you and what you said above cuz...this was just after the episode before where Chance was talking to Summer about his feelings over this mess.

And even he poked fun at the name change in this episode. If there had to be a name change...which there did not need to be and it is only for Billy's ego, not Jill's...it should have been Chancellor-Abbott which looks better than Abbott-Chancellor anyway.

Yeah this past week was a meh week.

Unless it's the week where he has the big fall that is soooo coming his well-deserved way, any week that centers on Billy is going to suck. I don't care that he's mad at Adam. I don't care how much Chelesa begs for his forgiveness so he feels like a big man. Any 'man' whom only storyline is that focused only on putting his last name on an established company and throwing tantrum about it ain't worth my time.

Right now, it is very much throwing things at the wall to see what sticks again. Le sigh. That said there were a FEW things I liked.

For one, like I was telling @NothinButAttitude, I was loving that Chance got a POV and then he started to get into it with Billy. I wished that he had figured out that the real reason for Billy's latest tantrum was his drama with Chelesa, but he got pretty close. And I LOVED him reminding Billy HIS name is on the company as well. And lest I forget to say I also love that NO ONE is taking Billy changing the name seriously.

And so it begins...Sharon going off the rails. She was reading Daniel and Heather down. And I know she will keep on doing it so excited. I was just thinking that I'm surprised Faith has not mentioned to Nick that Sharon told her she was seeing Cameron, but it looks like she might have mentioned it.

Outside of that, nice angle of JM's bubble on Friday during Sharon going off on Lucy at Society.

That's all I got. lol.

He ain't the only one.

Sooo I was just looking at Y&R’s ratings after it was mentioned B&B is about to overtake it following the Luna story last week.

Sure enough Y&R tied it’s low, a point away from being tied with B&B. The astounding part is the show is down 219K viewers closing from last year…..thanks a lot Josh!

If only it made any sense for Billy to hire Phyllis.

He's just gone through all this turmoil at AC and got rid of Lily and Chance. And their replacement is PHYLLIS, who he knows is a complete mess and disaster?

We hear a retelling of Phyllis' resume, which means hearing the Grand Phoenix was a "world-class hotel" and that Phyllis is a tech genius. So now she can help run AC? LOL.  OK.

Once again, we're living in a world where these huge businesses have no one working for them who can replace someone who's been (ridiculously) fired.

No wonder the ratings have tanked.

Off to a decent start.

Nate and Audra coming out into the open with their relationship and the reactions were good. Of course, Devon would have an issue. Meanwhile, Kyle and Summer SCHEMING TOGETHER to get rid of Audra could be interesting.

I don't like Sharon's storyline, but I am always here for Sharon reading people down. Hopefully, this is the next turn in the story, and there will be some movement.

The main drama was Billy vs Chance. I loved Chance continuing to stand up for himself, though I felt that Billy had a point. However, so did Chance. And this is where Jill not being around is not helping because I don't feel Jill would fire Lily, either. And even if she did, Jill would want someone there to take care of Billy's bad impulses. And that's what most of what Billy does is. Impulses. On the good side, since I wanted Chance back as a cop, I have no problem with that. Just...WRITE FOR HIM. Are we overdue a murder mystery?

    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
