Yeah it sounds like a guest arc from the TV insider interview -- something she's squeezing in between filming her Hallmark movies.  "We always have to figure out scheduling and such, but if at all possible, I’m so glad to make it happen."

Definitely... but it is very promising that one of the first things Paula Cwikly & Jeanne Marie Ford have done under their pen is bringing Alison Sweeney in for a guest return. PRAYING this is a sign of good things to come.

As a professional and businesswoman, Sweeney knows how to promote her appearances, movies, etc.  I respect that.

But with DAYS' insanely long tape-to-airdate gap, by the time this airs (whatever it is), will any of it be surprising to viewers?

Honestly every time AS returns as Sami the show really truly FEELS like Days again as I knew it.

It’s just a darn shame Ron screwed us out of a Lumi reunion that last time around with one of his craptastic plot twists, ugh.

I'm shocked it took them this long to bring her back to be honest. Didn't her last appearance  kind of end on a cliffhanger note? I wonder if the situation on set made her balk at doing further guest appearances.

Sami is a character that i can take in small doses because over the years her character just kept being written the same and no growth but this next visit under Paula cwikly I hope we see something better but I have low expectations when it comes to the writing of Sami because everything it is always something dumb written by the writers

A spokesperson for Sweeney told Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday that she is "excited to be back in Salem for a few days."

It's unclear how many episodes Sweeney will be on, and a representative for the show didn't immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

I do love that AS has always been so positive about DAYS.

I honestly believe she's excited to go back for these brief stints.
