Thursday

I think I've watched Steffy ask Ridge to choose her before Brooke and Hope hundreds of times... and ask Finn to choose her before Sheila... thousands of times. At this point... Steffy should understand that if these men, both over the age of 35, NEED to be reminded all day where their respect should lie... NEED to be SCHOOLED all the time on what to do and not do... then THEY are NOT really on her side after all. It's so pathetic to BEG and want something, which if THEY truly respected her... they would have given her a long time ago.

Finn - if he loved and respected Steffy, would never put her in this place time after time again... He will never become best buddies with Deacon and never go to pick up pizzas from the woman who shot his wife's working place. Will never go all around town searching for her and etc. Also he would never say to Hope that she is this AMAZING woman and deserves an amazing man. He would never secretly from his wife - massage her hands and head - this is cheating. CHEATING. CHEEEEATING. You don't need to stick a penis in a vagina to call it cheating.

Ridge - if he loved and respected Steffy, would never ALWAYS pick Hope and Brooke's side time after time after time. If he loved her, he would never even put her in situation where she would feel like he is doing this. He would make sure she KNOWS she is number 1 - Because Brooke and Hope are not blood-related to Ridge, Steffy is HIS FLESH AND BLOOD. His little daughter. If this man was not a traitor and a complete POS, he would never pick these people over his own baby.

They are both traitors and she is not their number 1 priority. PERIOD. It's that simple. Steffy needs to WOMAN-up and kick both these idiots to the curb. IF you husband doesn't respect you... massages your biggest rival's little fingers - throw him out. If your father always does this to you and chooses his Logans - stop fighting his battles and acting like YOU are his mommy and when he comes at your door asking for help - tell him it's TOO LATE.

Steffy needs to fight and unleash a WAR where nothing is out of limits if she wants to beat  enemies. It's time for action, time to stop making bitter faces and ranting. Start plotting, finding people who can help you in your goals and... ACTION.

JMW deserves more meat on her scripts than every single day repeating these 2 lines.

- Finn, I don't want you to see Sheila!

- Dad, are you going to choose me or Brooke?

At this point this has gone into Stephanie Forrester at her worst territory aka Stephanie after 2005. She would also repeat herself all the time and rant to Ridge and Eric why they should be on her side. At a point, it becomes BORING and repetitive and people start actually sympathizing with the other women.

OG Stephanie went to friends, private detectives, press, court, surveillance, anything you can imagine in her war against her enemies. I want to see Steffy pro-active and IF they are going to make her a copy of Stephanie - at least let it be the early Stephanie.

This isn't that unusual. Plenty of actors and musicians who had some degree of success or fame have fallen on hard times because the moneymaking years are quite short. In Tom's case, it may have been losing whatever money he had to drugs or that he couldn't get well-paying gigs and simply ran out of money.

Unfortunately, B&B gave absolutely no opportunity for us to learn enough about Tom's history to understand or, frankly, care. He might as well have been a 5-line dayplayer.

That makes sense and fairly realistic but I figured between social media and Reddit groups there would have at least been someone who knew of Tom’s whereabouts plus at least a couple clickbait articles sitting out there or something out there lol.

But I definitely agree with you on B&B should at least giving us better backstory before the murder, but who are we kidding? Thudley just wanted to push a D-list celebrity around the show for a hot minute.

Yeah I thought she was still directing but realized she hasn’t directed in two years since Dynasty 2.0 went off the air after looking it up.

A shame because I thought finally utilizing HT again would have brought something watchable to this miserable story, but instead we get HT phoning it in for the first time in her career and that’s pretty disappointing.

Heather Tom still directs B&B.  Per IMDB, 5 episodes in 2023.  So far 4 episodes in 2024.
(I know IMDB isn't always correct but she does still direct B&B.)  She last directed one of the Sheila/Sugar cremation episodes, and an episode in May or June after Sheila was found alive.

I have to admit that I was touched by what Ridge said to Brooke. Sexy and beautiful has no age. And Brooke might have aged, but she still looks sexy as sin. And KKL has aged like wine and can totally pull it off. So I'm happy to see Brooke go for it. Steffy's head is going to explode though. lol.

Them Will mentions. hehe.

Hahahahahaha at Finn turning Hope all the way down. He told her to button up. Button up? I...

Because outside of Sheila, it was clear in those embarrassing scenes how much they have in common.

Well I have mixed feelings about Katie vs Poppy. Great scenes for sure. And it's nice to have Heather Tom going what she does best...female showdowns. That said...Katie butting into Bill's relationship. There's so much more she could be doing. And of course, I still wish it was Li doing the butting in.

-- KKL looks great, but that photo shoot was hilarious. They're filming in a damn ballroom, and the lighting is Walmart bright. The Black makeup artist (yeah, diversity on BOLD!) flames in to touch up Brooke's makeup while Zende takes all the photos. LMAOOOOOOO

-- Heather Tom's directed 9 episodes of BOLD in 2 years? I hardly call that consistent work.

-- The Il Giardino crowds should be gone. I mean, zero customers. Who would eat at Deacon's pizza dive with two murders in the news? And I wouldn't touch takeout.

-- Luna was hilarious. She not only told Bill the story about not having much with her mom, but had to add that their apartment building is being torn down and they're the only tenants left. LOLOL

Okay. I see what you all were mentioning. I guess HT did look kinda phoned in during the first part of this episode where she was still confronting Poppy. But I felt she bounced back a little during her talk with Li. Though I can only imagine that HT was enjoying Katie in a new relationship and now here she is messing with Bill.

Speaking of which...awwww at getting a Bill/Li scene. FINALLY!!!! I really wish they had gone in that direction with them. Just this scene alone. Li getting emotional at being called a Spencer and respecting Bill's strong protective love of his family...so much like how Li feels about Finn (and Jack once upon a time). And it's just how they do let their guard down with each other, too...their talk about secrets. Just well done. Heck...they could have had them getting closer back then...and then Bill encountering Poppy with no idea that she was Li's sister. Le sigh. I did giggle at Poppy talking to herself when Luna came home. So DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

I thought that was a cute Brooke/Hope scene when Brooke announced Brooke's Bedroom was back. But yeah...Steffy's head is going to explode.

    • That's what happened with Hope Williams Brady on DAYS.  Started as rich princess, went to the police academy.   Became a cop.  Now consults for the I.S.A.
    • I know Curlee/Demorest tried to give Roger a conscience in regard to raping Holly, and Zas is magnificent in those scenes with Alex. But he kinda ends up blaming Adam and the fact he (well, really the writers) ignores raping Rita and being responsible for her and Ed's child's death make it less than convincing.  I do think during 89-93 they were careful to not whitewash his past with Holly, but his occasional bouts of conscience always seemed to be overridden by his obsession/lust for her. The only purely good thing I can ever recall him doing is helping Maureen during the blackout, and even then, had she lived, he would've found a way to call that favor in. I've kinda resisted saying it, but it's kind of clear to me Long was determined to have her own version of Erica Kane, and God help us all, it ended up as Reva Shayne. Although at least Kim could act. (Sorry LaLucci fans) Honestly, I'm not even sure CBS soaps ever a character as larger than life as Reva.
    • Regardless, I'd still like to see more episodes from the 80s...there is very little of Charlotte Greer, Kirklands and Greenberg's out there sadly.
    • A black family having a white maid would be a good subversion of stereotypes. Also want to say that while the overall show has many flaws, the biggest one that's legitimately stifling is the lack of a rival family.
    • I also do not like the bits I've seen with Delia during Labine's 83 return. I am glad when she came back for the last time in 1986, she allowed Delia to move on from Frank.
    • Thanks for the well-detailed reply. I'm fairly early in my viewing, so I have some time before it goes nuts. Thanks a lot! @kalbir and @DRW50 thank you so much. I am just approaching 100 episodes, so I'm good for now.
    • The Duprees as the main family isn't the problem, but the fact is that over 3/4 of the cast are Duprees.. so it limits coupling potential and also keeps the canvas too closed in. Too many female Duprees and no hetero, nor gay, male Duprees is also a problem.   I also agree with @DemetriKanethat the male characters are one note, and not very layered/interesting... outside of Bill, that is. To me, I would have focused on either Nicole's family and dynamics or Dani's family and dynamics instead of trying to introduce/develop both families at the same time.  Nicole's family is more developed and interesting with loads of storyline possiblities then Dani's family right now. And because MVJ and co decided to feature so many Duprees... we're less likely to be free of any outside characters like Ashley/Derek since they're the non-Dupree part of the canvas.

    • I can not see Kat as a police officer and do not want that for her. Thats not her passion nor does she care about that stuff. The stuff with Eva and Leslie is specific to her life and wanting to protect her family. Her "detective" skills have more to do with her business background, which makes her very analytical and pay close attention to details. If this show had a corporation, she'd make a shrewed businesswoman and CEO I definitely dont want to see her sleep with her cousin's husband. That would be too much of a Hayley redux which ironically you dont want with the Sharon/Hayley theory
    • I would make Jan, Ashley's mom, Anita and Vernon's maid. It would lock in to why Leslie would choose to befriend both her and Mona. It also gives Ashley a connection to the Duprees and explains how she befriended Naomi. I would have had Derek start the show as a cop to explain his connection to Jacob. Kat needs to realize that she is MADE to be a detective. Have her go through police training, making the appropriate comments about the uniform along the way. Have her prove she is so much more than a rich princess, even to herself. Then, when Jacob's partner is proven to be dirty, Kat is assigned as Jacob's rookie trainee. At the same time, Naomi does finally get a case she can follow through on. Her client is a person that Jacob arrested. This puts them at odds because Jacob knows this person did it, as does Kat, but Naomi only sees the extenuating circumstances and believes he deserves a lighter sentence and a second chance. THAT is when Jacob will turn to Kat in frustration and she will lose her virginity to him.
