Don't apologize to her, she regularly posts nonsense because any attention is good attention. I'm sorry but it's just ridiculous at this point. One day she's going to post a link to Russian malware and say "I thought they had Agnes' original bible for All My Children!

".

I'm not surprised by it but I completely get why he is, he hasn't (to me) played their scenes with even a hint of attraction. He was entirely too aggressive and mean-spirited in his deliver to imagine any underlying attraction. But I'm glad they went for it! Nice to see some PASSION on this show. Even between two characters I have little use for.

I get what you're saying, @Darn, but I believe someone - maybe FV, maybe PM and/or EK, maybe just the dude who operates the food truck outside the Prospect Studios every afternoon - but someone had to have seen something between him and CW, even if he (and CW) didn't.  Hell, you, me, @carolineg and @Vee saw it weeks ago, before the official writing regime change-over, when Ryan Drew still acted as if he wanted to hang Annie's Nina's head like a pair of fuzzy dice from his rearview mirror!

Thanks, Jane! No worries.

I most certainly do NOT post nonsense. And, you are WAY out of line even suggesting such a thing. If you wish to talk about something that is ridiculous, it is some posters thinking they can make up sh*t about other posters & that it will somehow be okay. IT IS NOT OKAY. Knock it off. I am just a regular citizen here, posting like anyone else & I do not deserve or warrant treatment like this. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I always thought Ryan's  Drew's hatred was so intense and OTT that he had to find Nina attractive.  It was too much.  I totally buy it.  And realistically, Carly and Nina aren't that different in looks or in character.  It fits for me as far as CM's portrayal.  I can't see Billy Miller's Drew being interested in Carly or Nina though.

This is so dramatic. Calm down. I said what I said and I mean what I said. Buh-buh-bye.

@Khan @carolineg Lmao I'm loving the Ryan. He's giving everything Ryan gave except now we're not supposed to find it charming so I'm kind of into it. Keep him this way. Angry, evil and overly emotional, the opposite of the silent saint that is Jason.

I would HAPPILY see him leave but this is so much better than whatever that was with Carly. Drew and Carly, the self-righteous town bullies. All they did was tell the other how amazing they are and yell at Nina. That and commit crimes.

Donna, you said a few weeks ago that you blocked me. I didn't even expect you to see that. Listen, you ask easily Google-able questions, talk in riddles and now you're sharing questionable links. You cannot be this obtuse.

IOW, you read into Drew and Nina's enmity subtext that even TPTB and the actors in question didn't (at least, not at first, lol).

I'm inclined to think that PM/EK read the inadvertent subtext as well and "went for it."

Same here!  I've never known who Drew was beyond just being Jason's long-lost twin.  I mean, who is he, really?  What does he want?  What's in his head?  What's in his heart?  Who would he [!@#$%^&*] if he had the chance*?  What, if any, is his function on the GH canvas besides his biological ties to Jason and Alan?

Perhaps, we should call him "Dryan" from now on?  I'm kidding.

But seriously.  I think CM plays "charming rake" very well.  Ryan was such a nice addition to the AMC canvas before Megan McTavish turned him and Gillian into this star-crossed couple like something out of a James Ingram ballad.  It's certainly more fun to watch him like this than it is to watch him play Generic Love Interest No. 17 on all those godawful GAC/Hallmark movies.

*I guess we know the answer to that question now, lol!

I suppose?  I always thought Drew had way too much hate for Nina especially considering he committed the crime and she was just reporting it.  Drew was always so passionate about his 'hatred" for Nina that I always thought it was a thin line between love and hate.  I didn't know the actors didn't try to play it that way because it felt intentional lol.  The subtext was definitely there IMO and I do applaud PM/EK for going there.

I always felt like Drew was what Jason would be if Jason had human emotions.  To be fair the show threw a lot of stuff at Drew that didn't work (Kim, Oscar), but he's never had his own identity outside Jason.  The idea of Drew isn't bad, but the minute Steve returns to the fold Drew becomes this afterthought.

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
    • I know we have discussed the fact that Another World seemed to be planning a location shoot in Finland that got cancelled. I came across this item from the syndicated Soapbox column published June 14, 1982. "Soap operas have been experimenting extensively with on-location shooting in recent years to enhance storylines and increase their viewing audience. A major drawback is the added production costs involved. Another World, for example, cancelled a special trip for Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory on the show), who was scheduled to shoot scenes in Finland. The producers felt that the high price tag, along with resentment of the cast members who also wanted to travel but were to be left behind. was enough to scrap the whole project."
    • A few more thoughts about these last two episodes. I thought it was interesting how much disdain both Dani/Anita have for Eva. I thought it was amusing how Dani was calling her lying/conniving and how Anita pointed as if to say, "that part". They definitely are not here for her, and I could see them having harsh confrontations with her in addition to Leslie. I'm curious to see Kat's interaction with Eva on Monday's episode. I think it might be interesting if Kat (along with possibly Naomi/Chelsea) come around to Eva before Dani/Anita do. Of course, Kat will be understandably angry at her. But maybe a tiny part of her might feel sorry for her if she really does believe that she's Ted's daughter as well and that Leslie lied to her. I could see Kat confronting Eva again and warning her not to harm her family anymore. But I could also possibly see Kat admitting that what Ted/Leslie did regarding her was messed up as well. And maybe that will pave the way down the line for them to get along better. I also agree with the comments/speculation made in the threat that Nicole will eventually accept/probably love her someday as well. I still wouldn't mind if somehow Nicole ended up being her biological mother. They have both been acting like they care for each other in this storyline. Nicole somehow ending up being her mother would be soapy and provide some more interesting layers in this story. And regarding Andre/Dani's romance it seems like they are genuinely developing feelings for each other. I have missed episodes, so maybe more of this has been elaborated on. But it seemed like there was genuine affection between both of them when they snuck a kiss publicly in the hotel. And also, them both talking about going publicly with their relationship. I wonder what everyone's reactions will be should they be caught by someone together. Of if they flat out tell everyone about their relationship.
    • I was wondering what week it was, and it explains the low rating for Knots Landing. I was also wondering what preempted Dallas and Falcon Crest.
    • Interesting take on Dallas. Frankly I think the plot of JR Returns should have been the way Dallas ended but for whatever reason they thought they had the chance to get renewed for another season lol. A week later Knots’ 2 hour season finale ranked at #10 against Cheers #3 and LA Law at #5. There’s only a handful of other shows running that long and still doing well enough the ratings/rankings i.e. Gunsmoke, Law & Order, NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy and more recently Blue Bloods.    Another point of interest is the unraveling of the 80’s sitcoms had already begun in the spring of ‘91. The first part of a Who’s The Boss? two part season finale we see here ranked at  #40 and second part ranked at #43 the following week. Growing Pains finale the previous week barely made it into the Top 30. The Wonder Years fared no better. Cosby losing ground, Night Court and Dear John just being there etc.
