Her last day? Does she mean twitter?

No. She's just been in Atlanta overseeing the production of the show the first few weeks of shooting. She's going back home to LA. She's not going anywhere. She just won't be on set.

No problem. She cleared it up in the comments on BlueSky last night. People assumed she was being removed from the production and freaked out.

No worries, folks. I think she's just going to be bicoastal and come to Atlanta when she's needed.

No. She's returning to Los Angeles. She was only in Atlanta for two-to-three weeks.

I do wonder who is the showrunner on set when MVJ is not there

MVJ is not a technical producer, she doesn't need to be on-set supervising production or dealing with the actors. I assume that's what Julie Hanan Carruthers will be primarily responsible for.

It makes sense MVJ was there for the first 3 week since she created the show and they likely needed her to advise as the show got off the ground.

That was my thought too.

Exactly; I would they have someone/someone(s) overseeing things directly in Atlanta on the set. As @BetterForgotten stated above: Val Jean is one of many executive producers, show-runner, head writer and creator. She technically doesn't need to be on the set for things to run. Kind of like William J. Bell, who was in Chicago while he had his co-executive producer(s) and others in-company in Los Angeles running the show on the ground floor.

All this talk about Bill (and I need to read his bio again--its one I revisit annually like Harding Lemay's) being in Chicago and still running his show just shows how far we've come in teleworking. Just a little side comment.

Absolutely! Bell was remote working before we even knew we'd be able to work remotely. Haha. Again, ahead of his time.
