Tamara Tunie is bringing the soap matriarch vibes and I love it!

The hand is giving me Jeanne Cooper as Katherine Chancellor. The costuming just looks.... top quality. I just know the fabric feels rich with not a stitch out of fücking place. I also notice that Nicole is presented as more muted (with the sparkles), while Dani is the one wearing pops of colour/print.

They look lovely.

It may be crass but I'll admit I am a little concerned about Clifton Davis' age and how long he may last in the patriarch role, assuming for a moment the show gets off to a solid start and looks poised to run. But I'm very glad they have him. He certainly seems more vital than some men I've seen with 5-10 years less on him.

I can see the headline now:

"NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE: Why 99-Year-Old Clifton Davis Refuses To Leave 'The Best Job I've Ever Had'!"

He sure doesn't look his age now! I'd buy it.

It might sound racist, but it's the truth: Black. Don't. Crack.

I don't think it's crass; it's a viable question, and I feel like we'd have the same question(s) if any actor of his age were cast in a new role on a new soap opera. But, then again, we could also say the same about someone half his age.

I mean, Santa Barbara went through four different actors in the role of C.C. Capwell before Jed Allan was cast in 1986. Even Y&R had two different John Abbott actors before Jerry Douglas, and they were all at younger ages than Davis.

If he's viable and up for it, then I say hooray! His casting was a "get" for sure.

Not sure if this has been asked: Is CBS using the same violin track for their Matlock promos as they're using for BTG?

Sounds like an alternate mix.

I really hope they get Jonelle Allen and Anna Maria Hosford to make appearances on this show.  Clifton Davis needs to be reunited with his two best scene partners, lol.
