How could Kevin Spirtas be nominated for Guest Actor? I was told an actor couldn’t submit in the Guest category if they had previously played the role on contract. 

You know what's missing? A room full of crazy ass rabid fans. This is just boring, it lacks all of the fun and excitement of years past. But frankly, what's left to be a fan of? Daytime's a shell of its former self.

Poor Days lol

Hopefully next year will be good for them, especially with Dan and Ari's performances.

I'm of the opinion that there's no validity to any entertainment award.  But, at least the Tony's do a better PR job for productions that were nominated.  I can't imagine any lapsed fan being enticed to stream their old favorites after that two bit show.

Never heard of this rule.  I'm sure they would have rescinded if true.  Chrishell Stause, Thaao Penghlis, Kate Mansi were all nominated after previously being on contract.  Wayne Brady received a nomination and all but two of his appearances that year were credited as contract.

Nah, I mean they left a lot to be desired but it was far better than the year they did a random tribute to Las Vegas for no reason.

It always reminds me of when Uta Hagen, the famous acting coach, won best supporting for a one week role on OLTL in 1985

Thanks for the info. When Eileen Davidson was submitting for her work as Susan on Days in 2017 I assumed it was for the Guest category but someone told me about that rule which I guess was never true or changed at some point.
