I'm not saying that Brooke hasn't done a lot of horrible things, but she's the only one who constantly gets dragged through the mud for these things. Some of which happened decades ago. And just to clarify things, she did not drive Macy to kill herself. They were in a car accident, provoked by Brooke's actions yes, but Macy didn't die.... Macy died years later off screen, after she had been hit by a chandelier. And what's also funny is how Brooke is the one who gets all the blame for the things you mentioned. I would think that the men ought to shoulder some of the blame.

And I stand by my opinion that people like Stephanie and Taylor get off way to easy. Especially Taylor. Brooke may have done some morally questionable things to say the least, but Taylor has repeatedly broken the law. She was driving drunk when she hit Darla with her car, she looked at Brooke's medical records without permission and revealed her pregnancy, and then she shot Bill.

I thought that was all bad at the time too, but I guess I am over it. Yes, it was disgusting and shocking. I started watching when she was pregnant with Bridget and I found it so gross, that she didn't know if her husband was the baby's father or grandfather. I was never a fan of Brooke. I could not even understand why anyone would fight over Ridge, but if they were, I felt that Taylor "deserved him" because she was a good and moral person, and Brooke was disgusting. I could even overlook her sleeping with James in the cabin. Taylor was classy and intelligent. I remember Brooke parading around in lingerie, putting a bed in her office, sneaking up on Ridge in the sauna, throwing her underwear in his face... and he was a married man with children. I thought it was despicable. I was appalled when she then went after Thorne. IIRC young Bridget walked in on them and puked into a plant. I understood Stephanie's rage and rooted for her even though she's no saint herself. And then she slept with Bridget's husband! She just couldn't help herself. No accountability.

I can't say I ever thought she was abusing the men though, seems to me they all slept with her willingly (although Eric and Ridge have both taken advantage of Brooke while she was impaired by alcohol and couldn't consent).

At this point though.. everyone else has done the same thing (bad writing - keep playing the same story over and over with different characters, so now it's nothing special). Taylor has been involved with Ridge, his father, both his brothers, Brooke's son (also her daughter's boyfriend), father, AND brother. Yeah it was bad when Brooke slept with Thorne, but Taylor also slept with Thorne after killing his wife while drunk driving and lying about it while planning to marry him. That's a whole other level of despicable.  And we are supposed to buy Taylor not only as reading the Bible, but being a missionary! And she and Steffy sit there judging the Logan sisters as if they haven't done all the same things. At this point the Logans seem quite normal and functional and not worse than anybody else.

Yeah she did drive Macy to kill herself. Watch the scenes. Macy decided to crash since Brooke told HER THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN do about it. And then she realized she had lost Thorne. I think she attempted to kill Brooke and kill herself in that moment. That is how I perceive it. What THEY REWROTE years later is ANOTHER THING. Macy died in 2000. The re-wrote was STUPID.

I think that's exaggerating a bit.

As for the letter, I believe that Caroline found out about that and read the letter before she married Thorne, didn't she? So, even though what Brooke did was despicable, no argument there, Caroline had the facts and still went ahead and married Thorne.

It may have been stupid, but the re-write still happened and is part of the show's history. I do agree with you that Macy probably was trying to kill both herself and Brooke, but that doesn't change the fact that they both survived and Macy died years later. If she did die.... we don't know that for sure since it happened off screen.

Please. You understand what I am saying. In your way of thinking WE SHOULD NEVER criticize Taylor for killing someone BECAUSE in a year this SOMEONE MAY BE ALIVE. I am executing your argument to your previous statement.

But... that's it for me. I am not beating that dead horse about Brooke on... Christmas. Let's all be marry and just have a laugh at all this bad writing in the show, OK.

I've been watching Bold as a comedy for years and I have never taken anything serious in the last 20 years. Sometimes Bradley is so bad HE IS GOOD. I have to be honest... I kinda wish Brooke would sleep with Liam and then get pregnant or get and STD or something. I need Liam to be completely destroyed as a character, so he would be finally written off in a year or two. And we all know a way out of the show is through Brooke's lingerie.

I need something scandalous and Hope and Thomas doesn't cut it. Something cheap for Christmas... and the new year. Bradley has lost his touch in the incest stories.

Bradley should really invite Susan Lucci to play a new matriarch. This show lacks AN OLDER woman in power. Brooke, as much as she is not a little girl anymore, will forever be the siren for me. She is not a matriarch. We need a new older woman in charge in this show. We need someone Stephanie like.

I feel like Brooke has to sleep with Liam at some point to complete the circle. Thomas too. It was so funny when she slept with Oliver but Bradley didn't want to make her slutty again so he made it into a preposterous mistake, and then when Ridge found out he pretty much grunted "oh, Logan!!!" like it was a sitcom... which it was... and this is why Ridge has to be played by Ronn Moss!

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
