Right. Nope. We've only seen Maggie with her subset of people. We've only seen Holly with her subset of people! The pod storytelling style that Lynn Liccardo spoke of in her book about the end of ATWT is alive & well in Salem!

One thing that is going on that is right is individual performances. Ari is wonderful again today. Plus, both yesterday & today, Tamara Braun is putting on a Masterclass of her own. I know Ava is an unpopular character & I get why but the actress is just so talented that anytime they give her decent writing she hits a homerun. Just shows what a travesty it was when all they wrote was Ava making pasta for Rafe & making whoopie with Rafe!

And, now, she said she did it because Sloan is a friend & then she goes on to say right now maybe her only friend. Good God, in what universe does being a friend require you to commit something as horrific as stealing a newborn?!!! So far, I just don't buy anything they've trotted out as Melinda rationales!

Point taken

It is not as if Sloan was desperate to be a mother, or was even that upset when she had a miscarriage (compared to Nicole).  So... yeah, Melinda would've been a better friend by either helping Sloan come up with other reasons to ensnare Eric, or encouraging her to get some self-esteem and find a guy who makes her a priority.

To me, the dumbest part is that Eric has never expressed interest in meeting the birth mother.  Sloan goes on about how she's having trouble parting with the baby. Meanwhile, Eric knows nothing about her and wasn't involved in the process at all.

Oh, Melinda. That bit about EJ and Nicole being very privileged people who will adjust to their new normal, get over their baby's death and move on because they have too much to live for, and, after all, Nicole still has a child... just gross.

I loved Nicole snapping at Holly with no clichéd soapy follow-up in the next scene, i.e., "Oh honey, I'm so sorry, you don't deserve that, I don't know what came over me, can you ever forgive me?" Her lying there in pained silence was moving.

I also enjoy that EJ is not always a cliché.

So, when he saw Eric hugging Nicole, he didn't become instantly insanely jealous (which would have been totally inappropriate given the circumstance).

And I like that they are allowing him to grieve, so that it doesn't feel as if this is only happening to Nicole.

Soap Twitter’s not gonna be too happy with Clyde’s comments to Ava. Maybe that’ll lead to him finally getting killed off lol

I was totally Team EJ today. Stefan was a total POS and I’m so glad that karma finally caught up with him. And as for Clyde and Stefan working together…

Abe/Nicole was the best part of today. I love their relationship, and you can tell that James and Ari enjoy working together as well. It was nice seeing Abe comfort her and reassure her. This is the way that you use history.

Same could be said for Eric/Sloan. And btw, I wouldn’t mind the baby being named Sam either

And I know I’m no detective or anything, but shouldn’t Ava’s blouse have been bagged as evidence already?

Thank you, Bee, I will gladly accept a break from EOB1. I was very frustrated with the credits yesterday. My schedule was crazy busy so I didn't get to watch DAYS until late in the day & by then they skipped showing most of the credits & I didn't even get to make note of the script writer for the day, just the director. I don't like it that Peacock does that, but Peacock doesn't care.

I've just started watching The Doctors again for the first time since I was a teen & there's something about how slowly the credits wind down that is just thrilling to me. Then the announcer says, "Stay tuned for Another World in living color!" And, there's my favorite show!

It's a stunt. In theory there's nothing wrong with stunts. But, in execution, there can be wide disparity! The Jack shower scene, clever stunt. Revealing RKK as the recast Bo at Vivian's masked ball, also clever but that one was quite complex & took two episodes to tell. The Santa Barbara 'Mason takes a punch' & Terry Lester goes down & Gordon Thompson pops up, simple but also clever. I don't think Ben/Alex was anything special. But maybe that first day Gwen/Theresa at the airport was also clever. Nothing clever since though!

I don't understand how Clyde has any leverage?

First, Stefan is the CEO of a multinational corporation.  He could either go to the warden with Clyde's threats, or use his media empire to expose the corruption of the prison.  Stefano would never cower to this thug.  So, why is Stefan acting like a little punk? The Dimeras pay off judges all the time.  You can't tell me that Stefan is powerless to free Gabi without running drugs, and still try to get me to believe that being the CEO at DI is that prestigious.

Second, the last time Clyde was on parole he had no money.  So, how is he funding a drug ring, an international kidnapping plot, and the managerial staff at The Bistro?

Finally, did I miss it or did Stefon go to the prison and not visit Gabi?

    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
    • GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/
    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
