Based on what I heard, the producers are using the money saved by eliminating RH's contract to pay three male actors playing returning characters. One of them is the Adam Huss version of Nikolas. The second is Bobbie's son Lucas, who briefly returns for Bobbie's funeral. The third is Lucky, who returns for Bobbie's funeral and might stick around.

I also head that Rebecca Buddig will return as Hayden for a few episodes. She could take custody of Violet and then leave. If Finn loses Violet, then the character is approaching his end. If Gregory dies of ALS, that would leave Harrison as the only member of the Chase family left on canvas.

I like the sound of this! As long as Chase (Harrison) doesn't sing, I like him with BLQ & also as a cop. Finn, Violet &  Gregory are all, to me anyway, excellent nominees for the chopping block!

Did some checking. Ryan Carnes as Lucas will be at Bobbie's funeral. No to Lucky. No to Hayden. Take it as you will, FWIW.

For those who missed the last 10 minutes of the show. The Tyler Christopher In loving Memory screen was shown.  Nina with a helper from Metro Court brought bunches of pizzas they made in their brand new pizza oven to the Qs. Lois got Gloria to tell what is wrong. She was playing Bingo at the Russian Orthodox church & had a verbal altercation with a Russian woman who is married to the head guy in the Russian mob there & Gloria's little dog has been threatened so someone is hiding the dog & she fled to Port Charles. Yuri overheard & volunteered to help with Russian problem. Says people just think he is a nice guy.

For every episode, GH posts the last five minutes of the episode on their facebook page.  They've been doing this for 3 years.  They started doing it in 2020 due to all the ABC news local and national news bulletins about COVID (and bulletins about politics) interrupting the end of the show.  They continued this and still do it.   They do this daily for ALL new episodes (even if there is no news interruption).

Here's the last five minutes of Monday N ov. 27 with the still image tribute to Tyler Christopher at the very end:

Shawn Reeves, Emmy-winning Costume Designer at AW, then GL, now for years, GH. He's the one who makes Maura West look fabulous in just about everything he puts her in. He's the one who came up with a bridal gown for Brooke Kerr that showed off every curve in her body. He's the one who has come up with so many different pinks because pink is Taby's superpower, ... I could go on. I haven't seen today yet, headed there now, but she's been better in general of late. Rule of thumb to think about these things. If they can dress these others as well as they can & do, it is something with the one where it is not true.

    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
