Danny's back in town. There will be flashbacks. What. Is. The. Story?

Y&R's cast anniversaries have become a weekly thing now? Like GL's Inside The Light? They are constantly honoring someone and use it as an excuse to write something interesting.
Instead of doing specials for everyone all the time, they should try working and focusing on some new people.

Well in terms of story...I feel like from watching the past week, the show is trying to echo the old Christine/Danny/Phyllis dynamic of the 90s. But do we want to see Phyllis go all the way back to Psycho Phyllis? Could MS even pull it off?

Phyllis HAS NOT been a psycho in years.  She's manipulative yes, psycho NO!  Makes stupid, impulsive choices at times.

I agree with David though. She hasn't been old school 'run down people, place octopus in bed' psycho in YEARS. 

 

But I found her reaction to Danny saying he was looking forward to seeing Christine...actually flinching...telling. Or...foreshadowing? And it did make me go...who is Phyllis with now? Cuz Jack left her. Nick ain't wanting to be with her anything soon. And Billy is with Chelesa though leaning into Diane. So...

I went back and listened again as I didn’t hear the trip part the first time. I guess the not good is an ambiguous blanket answer for both questions for the teaser?
