If you tuned into the Monday, April 17 episode of “General Hospital,” you might have seen Holly (Emma Samms) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) working together to rescue Ethan Lovett, Holly’s son with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), as he was being auctioned off like a high-end something, something as shown in the “Taken” films, albeit the winner gets to have the privilege of killing the Spencer offspring.

That said, Nathan Parsons (“Roswell, New Mexico”) reprised the role when the character last appeared for a few scenes in 2020. However, this time around, the soap opted to recast the role with daytime newcomer James Ryan.

In the Tuesday, April 18 episode, a mystery woman, later revealed to be Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), rightfully outbid Holly for the rights to Ethan after Holly couldn’t show proof of financing to the auctioneer. When it then becomes clear that Holly, Felicia and Tracy know each other, the auction turns violent as Ethan gets out of his ropes and helps the women escape leaving us to wonder what’s going to happen next time on “General Hospital.”

At press time, not much is known about Ryan other than his role on “GH” marks his first foray into soaps. Additionally, I hear the actor won’t be on the show for long.
