Webmaster Errol Posted April 11, 2023 Webmaster Share Posted April 11, 2023 First appearing in the Monday, April 10 episode, daytime newcomer AnaSofia Bianchi has taken over the role of Charlotte Cassadine on “General Hospital.” “I am super excited to join the @generalhospitalabc family as Charlotte Cassadine! I am forever grateful,” Bianchi posted on Instagram following her debut. The role of Charlotte was most recently portrayed by Amelia McLain, who last appeared on the soap in early March. McLain took over the role in 2021 from Scarlett Fernandez, who had played the character since 2016. No reason has been given for why the show decided to recast the role, but it’s understood that the change is not temporary. In a post on Instagram, Talent Agent Lisa Gal of the Eris Talent Agency said, “A big huge congrats to @anasofiabianchii on her recurring booking on a popular tv show!! We are thrilled for you. It was her first audition with Eris and she booked it!!” Earlier this year, Bianchi starred as Young Maddie in the Lifetime original movie, “My Sister’s Serial Killer Boyfriend.” In 2020, she co-starred in “The Nanny Murders” opposite several daytimers, including Arianne Zucker from “Days of our Lives,” “All My Children” alum Maximillian Alejandro Decker and “General Hospital” alums Coby Ryan McLaughlin and Robert Palmer Watkins. Ironically, the movie also featured Scarlett Fernandez. Bianchi’s other credits include voice work for the videogame “Kingdom Hearts III” and an appearance in an episode of the Netflix series “The Kominsky Method.” She also had roles in numerous shorts.
