Today’s Y&R featured Jeremy and Phyllis talking about an evil master plan in the works, so I figure Phyllis faking death and getting it blamed on Diane.

I’m not sure how reliable this spoiler is or if it is a prediction of some sore but I did read the following:

Now that everything else has failed to get rid of Diane and she’s engaged to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) Phyllis’ hate and thirst for revenge is in overdrive. Jeremy was going to have her steal something and frame Diane for theft, but Diane caught her in the Abbott mansion and stopped her. He came up with another plot that they could pull at the Bicentennial Ball, but they’ll have to disguise themselves to crash the party.

That could be tricky considering it’s not full masquerade, it’s just masks over the eyes and no costumes. Then Phyllis gets a brilliant idea; fake her own death the same way she faked hers, and frame her for her own murder-all Jeremy has to do is supply a corpse.

Phyllis thinks it’s time to fight fire with fire, and she has nothing left to lose-she blames Diane, of course, for turning her children against her when it’s really her hatred. Of course it’s Diane’s fault that Phyllis got fired by both Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) because Diane’s the psycho, never Phyllis. They will stage a funeral and everything, with Phyllis supposedly dying in a fiery crash into a ravine, and her ID will be found outside the car. There will be bones but they will be so burnt no DNA is salvageable-Jeremy’s impressed, this might actually work; Phyllis changes her will for her life insurance payout. She’s lost her relationship with her kids, so it will go to Jeremy’s shell corporation.

There’s the question of where Phyllis will go, and Jeremy has that all figured out. Keemo Volien Abbott’s (Phillp Moon) house is still vacant, Diane having purchased it as a ruse but never rented or resold. The big question here is one of trust – can Phyllis really trust this man who is being so kind and hates Diane as much as she? Will he follow through on their contract, or will Phyllis be out of luck and maybe out of time?

It doesn’t matter anymore – he’s got to be more trustworthy than Diane, and Phyllis is in such a state of desperation she’s really the psycho here. She’s grasping at straws and Jeremy has one, and he keeps convincing her to team up-maybe she will.

Is this the best Josh Griffith could come up with? Just terrible!

Wasting Susan Walters for this?

That is actually something apeshit crazy that Phyllis would do. It's not a terrible story idea, but I am sure (if it's an actual spoiler) that the execution will be terrible and then try to ultimately forgive her too quickly and try to spread more blame on Diane.

I think it's mostly speculation based on the discussion in this thread, LOL

That came from soapoperaspy, and their headline of the item on their site has a question mark.

We've seen spoiler pics of a Phyllis memorial.

The trouble with this is, like all of Griffiths plots, there might be a kernel of a good idea but there are way too many holes and inconsistencies.

And the end result will be people villifying Phyllis for a while and then it will all be forgotten.

Phyllis sets a trap for Diane

Phyllis tells Diane that Kyle is ill & he's with Summer in a suite upstairs.

Diane takes the bait  & goes with Phyllis to the room

It reaches a breaking point with devastating results not only for the rivals but for all their loved ones.

And here is the "memorial" picture of Phyllis in the picture frame, the one that was spotted on Stafford's cameo.com video which started this thread.
