I guess we won't be seeing Fen anymore either on YR.

Tinker will make his series debut this weekend with a special episode that airs immediately following the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 29. He plays Collin, a humble, charming, and talented probie firefighter. As the son of a famous firefighting hero, Collin carries a name that he’s constantly trying to live up to.

Is he a series regular?

“Days” screwed the pooch so bad here.  He should be leading the new produced and written-for Peacock eppys with the other younger characters.

Anyway, very happy for his success!  But very sad for myself that his Sonny is no longer locked on contract!

The Deadline article says he "makes his debut" in the special Sunday Jan. 29 episode after the AFC Championship game.  It doesn't say if he's series regular or not (and Deadline usually specifies if someone is).
The phrase "makes his debut" definitely indicates more than just a single guest episode.
So far, IMDB lists ZT in the Sun. Jan. 29 eppy plus the regular Fri. Feb. 3 episode.

I think YR screwed up with Tinker more than DAYS did. At least DAYS gave him something to do and let him shine on Beyond Salem (even though his stint on DAYS was underwhelming and pathetic.)

YR never let Tinker be front and center, and that was a huge mistake.

Its just a shame that writers like carlivati keep losing talent because of their ineptness. They actually think Robert Scott Wilson has talent. I don't see anyone else giving him employment.

Anybody else notice that the Friday episodes are usually ad-free?

I did like the witty banter between Eric and Sloan over clam chowder vs. chicken noodle soup. They were almost like a real couple. Idk about Roman shaming Sloan though. I get, defending your close friends and family but Sloan does have a pretty good grievance too. Btw, clam chowder is disgusting

The best scenes were Tripp/Wendy/Johnny/Chanel/Allie. Allie is a horrible person and I hope Chanel dumps her ass (I can't believe we had to deal with her in every episode this week) Maybe if she came off as more hurt and sad rather than mean and nasty, she would be more likable.

But I am really liking the storyline. Chanel throwing Allie's cheating in her face was amazing. That was the best moment! And I still am loving the chemistry that Wendy has with Tripp and with Johnny. This is a great group and great storyline. It can go in so many different directions and weave in so many characters and I hope they play it for as long as they can.

Except for the devil crap, I really have been enjoying the show lately.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
