L: There was something about Caitlin Van Zandt's character of Ashlee Wolfe that I couldn't stand.

I think Caitlin was pretty well accepted as a good young adult actor with some chops to show for her efforts! She mixed well with her age & peer group & then she did fine with her job as Doris's daughter. GL casting seemed to place good choices in the young adult group.

I'm still amazed Michael O'Leary is about to be in Halloween Ends.

Shocking! I had no idea. I pay zero attention to the horror genre. Amazed is the right word & you've already used it! Mikey's gonna be in the show. Wow.

If only Y&R could have bitten the bullet and thanked Amelia Heinle for her portrayal of Victoria, wished her well and recast with Gina Tognoni instead of wasting GT on Phyliis...

Not sure that Alex on DOOL is a good candidate because his very present existence has nothing to do with the character, but everything to do with a way to keep RSW on the canvas.

Ugh! Still? I get it but I can think of a few others that would have been just as good or better. Christie Clark, Sarah Aldrich, Shawn Batten, or Sarah Brown for example.

Gina, Christie, Sarah Joy, Tamara Braun, Eden Riegel, ... there could have been many possibles.

I think Eden was too young, or at least presented that way. Is it the writing for Amelia people hate, or the actress? I'm curious.

I do not know the answer to that.

I think for both reasons  but a little  more for the actress.  She's been phoning it in for awhile now and also the character herself has grown unlikable as well.

I just think Tognoni would've hit the ball out of the park as Victoria and was horribly miscast as Phyllis.

Hate to hear that!

Well, that's a shame because she is a joy to watch when she suits the role. At GL her Dinah was as good as any originating Dinah & when she was at OLTL she was younger & maturing helped her but she was good there, too.

I agree she was miscast as Phyllis, but if it's the writing can you really blame the actress? Speaking of Phyllis, I still think Jamie Luner or Jennifer Bransford would have been great, especially Jennifer Bransford. She's got that same kind of harsh look and does bitch very well, and unpopular opinion, she's more likeable than Michelle Stafford.

I love Gina but that wasn't Phyllis she was portraying in addition to the writing wasn't there. And I'm going to be honest I don't think she had much chemistry with Jason Thompson or Joshua Morrow. If anything, Jamie Luner or Melinda Clarke should've been cast as Phyllis instead.

Tamara Braun would've made a killer Victoria Newman.

Now, that would have done it. I would have had to start watching Y&R.
